Yep, even with eating crazily everything I wanted on reward day, which was last Sunday for me, (well, you get to have up to 1000 calories more than you normally eat in a day, on your reward/cheat day- the goal being to surprise your metabolism, throwing it into high gear), I made sure I did the shapers (nine minutes on weekdays of doing three exercises that strengthen things you already need those muscles to do- like squatting toward the floor and back up, etc), and an hour of aerobics (though beginners can start with just five minutes a day and work their way up to as much as an hour)- making sure I ate the way I was supposed to on the plan I had chosen (turbo plan, two low carb days follow reward day, then there is a high carb day, and then two more low carb days followed by another high carb day- the reasoning is fascinating but to put it simply it also tricks your metabolism). The scale told me today (you always weigh yourself the morning after a low carb day, toward the end of your week on the plan) that I was two pounds down!
The only thing different I did was to add turmeric. I had read about how it prevents you from adding fat to your body, and also cuts out fat you have already. It does a whole lot more for your health than that, but I'll leave that at that for now. I had been having some beef pretty regularly (trying to get it used up) and was worried about how fatty it seemed to me- but still felt I was losing weight- I really think adding the turmeric was the boost/help there).
So my goal of getting under 170 came to fruition this morning when the scale said I was .2 under that! lol YAY!

I tried to get an updated pic the other day, but discovered I'd lost the uploading cord to the camera, so am waiting for one to come by mail. Oh well! I'm looking forward to my weigh in this week- maybe I'll have the cord and be able to give an even more current picture after that!
I've been exercising before going to work this week. Yay- I found I can do some right after drinking my breakfast.
My student was sick today so I got to do more exercise when I came home.
I had something interesting happen today. I've wondered if I should even blog about it, but will anyway. I'd headed into this small store today, and noticed someone looking my way (you notice when they don't just look real quick, but look real long).I did act like I didn't notice. Noticed him looking my way again after a bit. When I got up to the cash register to pay for my items, I realized it was a cashier I'd never seen there before, because he was the only guy in the small store I had seen, and he was looking at me very interestedly. Not at all indecently. It was just his eyes drawn powerfully to mine somehow. I mean, I was in my very loose but nice looking rain coat, and I discovered afterward that my face was rather shiny, and my hair was kinda "parted" where there shoulda been bangs (fringe) straight across my forehead, and I dare say he could see some wrinkles under my eyes,- but somehow, he really looked interested. I know I'm a married woman, with a very sweet husband, and I dare say this guy is probably younger than my son by a few years. The eye attraction was quite strong. I will not try to shop there when he's there-that would be utterly ridiculous, I just thought it nice to feel so admired like that, and me at the age of 50... Probably the last time it will happen so gonna cherish it kinda. It was quite a nice ego boosting thing to have happen. :)

I made myself some hash browns this morning. I just grated some potato, added some sea salt, pepper and onion powder and fried it in red palm oil. It was good. :)
I found a recipe for mayonnaise that doesn't have eggs (allergies) and that I will probably do well with for the nickel allergy. Have yet to make and use it though. It was just nice to find one.
I used my oven to cook some meat and some root veggies today. It is nice to have that ready ahead of time for upcoming meals.
It's been nice to get these things done. I've felt kind of bored and feeling like there isn't much I can have other than a few basic things, but this is the start of figuring out and adding on to what I can have.
It is good.

I just got home from a double birthday party. I ate only what I was supposed to for this high carb day. It was nice to visit with so much family.
I gave away my bigger sized pants to family tonight (3 different females). Some other things too- a dress, a sweater, etcetera. They are glad for them, and I am glad to not keep them around for "just in case". I had actually wanted to "swim" in my clothes to a degree, but fought the urge, saying they could use them more than I could, and I put on the size twelve jeans and saw how nicely they fit. Not tight. I should wear proper size jeans. I've worked at it and can wear proper fitting jeans. I've been noticing my tummy getting smaller. It feels so good to be seeing progress like this. I've a ways to go, but just seeing these results encourages me to keep pressing on for more weight loss. :)

I think that's pretty good, considering I only did half the exercise I normally do. It was just a crazy busy week.
So I'm just over 15 pounds down from when I started losing weight early last month! Yay:)
