My kitty started non-stop crying this evening, panting, and couldn't use her back legs. The vet was closed, but took her anyway, and the lower half of her body was cold- there was no pulse down there. The doctor said she "threw a clot" and it's rare to recover from that so she recommended we euthanize her. I filled out the form and the doctor had to give her two shots in the kidneys. I was there, talking to her and petting her. I'm glad she didn't have to be in such excruciating pain for too horribly long. We got to love on her for nearly fifteen years.

My kitty has been sick all week. Eating less and less, not doing much, and then throwing up twice Thursday. I took her to the vet that evening and they said she'd lost quite a bit of weight. They did various tests to rule different things out. Said she has a bit of a fever so since she doesn't have hyperthyroid disease, it's either an infection maybe from a blockage- possibly of her gall bladder, or cancer. They said she has arrhythmia too, but found out that her potassium was very low and her bilirubin was somewhat high. So I took her home with food that is most digestible for her right now, and also best for her liver, that needs help while she's healing, a potassium infused bag of "water" to inject under her skin twice a day, and an antibiotic to give her twice a day. Now she is good with the water being injected under her skin, but taking the pill and me injecting food into her mouth -she hates those things. Well, today she threw up when I went to give her her next feeding (it's every three hours), and there were a couple blood clots in it. The doctor said it could be because of her vomiting, not eating much and not having a bowel movement since Sunday or Monday that the stomach juices could have caused. She said it was good the vomit smelled like food. So back to the vet to get some medicine for her esophagus, another bag to inject into her, and more of the easily digested food to put into her mouth every few hours (but not for six hours after my last attempt). I have to have a schedule in writing now too, because she can't have the medicines within an hour of each other.

If you don't count the half hour it took to meet the student last week, it was my first work day for the summer. Looks like I'll only work one more day this summer, unless someone else needs a sub by the 15th of August. It was nice to know I still know what to do, lol.

It is hard to go to sleep after your adrenalin is up! I just did my first Jamberry online party and it was fun. It was just a bit hard to keep it within the allotted hour I gave myself, lol! Plus, I had people earning points and I had to add those up and answer questions at the same time, lol. It was good though. The party doesn't close until next Sunday night so I'm looking forward to a nice party between now AND then!
Anyway, I'd better try to unwind!
How are you guys doing? What have you been up to?!

After church my friend Amy and I watched The Fiddler on the Roof -the extended version. I can see why they didn't keep all that footage, lol, but Amy had really wanted to see the movie again and no one else would watch it with her so I'm glad we got that three hours in. :)
I have been having a nasty back lately. I thought I was doing better and so took both dogs for a walk. Mind you, I tie their leashes around my hips, figuring my hips can take any pulling they do, better than any other part of my body. So at one point, the basset hound walked as far out as he could to the left of me, while my other dog walked to the right and then suddenly HAD to chase a frog. She LOVES to do that- but it yanked me so hard and fast to the right that after that I felt like I was walking lopsidedly (is that a word?!), and had the pain to go with it- that just kept getting worse. I finally prayed thoroughly on it and each day have had various adjustments happen- yesterday I turned to the right quickly with just my upper body, as I was sitting in a chair, and felt something move, for instance. When I got into my car with a huge platter of veggies (for a party), I had to dodge the steering wheel to put it on the seat next to me (I was in a hurry, so didn't go around to the other door)- and when I did, I heard a bunch of things readjust. Today I'm not in pain- was able to HELP walk the dogs. I think, though it takes more time.. I'm just going to have to walk one dog at a time when I want to walk them before rain comes or such. Then I won't have to be so concerned about going out of alignment. SO, I'm finally back exercising, but since sore yet from things being back in place, I only helped walk the dogs. Tomorrow I expect to do more. :)
