I KNOW I burned a whole lot more calories than the tracker will allow me to input. Boy do I know it, but anyway, I'm not going to quibble over it any more than saying that. :)
My husband, our daughter, and her husband, and I went and climbed up an almost constantly steep mountain, that three of us had done before. My son-in-law had never been on this one, and he had wanted to as part of his birthday gift from us. It was perfect weather for the day, though cloudy at the top. It took about an hour to get to the top. I don't think it ever took that short a time before, but my SIL is so used to hiking the high peaks, and has very long legs...! I am not in good shape, so it was rough going for me for a lot of the way going up. I had to keep telling myself to not look up and see how steep and impossible it looked, but to take one step at a time. I was thinking of a kids' song about climbing a mountain one step at a time. :)
This is me at the top.
Closer mountains are viewed on the side behind where I'm standing.
and on the other side you can see mountains and lakes further away.
After we ate lunch, we left the top of the mountain there, and went over to another part that is more popular because it has a "Chimney". This is an area on the way to that, that you have to climb to get over to the chimney.
and this is the chimney, but sorry...best pic I was able to get, my legs were too wobbly to try to get closer to it- so you have foliage in front of it. Oh, daughter took a Great picture of it- here you go:
There were a lot of rocks around there that could be climbed, and my daughter was determined to do just that, but here are the guys first.
My daughter climbed another area- more difficult to get up (and down), and her husband decided he would do the same.
I took a picture of some pretty leaves...lol
Here is a picture of my husband, daughter and son in law on a rock across from the rock the couple had been on in the other picture.
More cool rocks and roots My daughter under some other rocks in the area.
I took lots of pictures, trying to give you an idea of how steep the climb was all the way up, but this was about the best that came out of them all I guess.
My husband has gone spelunking on this mountain (or I should say, in it), and he has also done rappelling (using rope to go down a cliff). I've been with him (and we have taken others- this was all years ago), and they did those things with him (not me though, I just watched, haha).
The ride back home got sunny, and to see the mountains and lakes, rivers and creeks, with the beautiful clouds and bright blue sky- ah, it was so nice. :)
Okay, I'm adding some pans that I took that my husband did his best to piece together for me just now.

Today I went kayaking and I did two weeks of grocery shopping (it's what we do). Whew to both! It was my first time kayaking this year, and at first I didn't know if I would be able to get far, my arms were kinda saying, "what are you doing to me?!" Keeping in mind, of course, that I'm only four days in to exercising more than just walking dogs and at work. heh
After we kayaked, I used hand cleaner on my hands. Ever since then I've been sneezing like crazy! Who'd have thought that would cause such a reaction! I took antihistamine soon after we got home, and I used a nasal spray about an hour ago. It's a little better, but I'm still not done sneezing. Hopefully this allergy headache and the nose trouble will be done with by morning.
Good night, and have a super Saturday, all!

I got dishes, laundry and some cupboard (2) organizing done today.
My husband did eat one section of the mints I spoke of the other day, and the rest of them did go home with my thin friend last night, lol.
It was Monday that I started eating right again and getting regular exercise, and I must say that I feel so positive. It's like my brain doesn't want to let me feel easily down. That's a great change for the better!
I also am determined to not show a tracker until Monday, simply because I know for a fact that I always lose a good bit of weight in the first week I'm back on track- so I'd rather go from the week after that before accepting any "congratulations".
It has been a lovely day. Some of my laundry spent time outdoors! :)
I'm glad the rain has left us for a few days again. More can be done outside.
I hope you had a terrific Thursday!

It's been a pretty good day. It feels weird to be on vacation from working with students. Hopefully it'll only be a couple more weeks. In the meantime, I am determined that I will enjoy it this time around, and will get things done too. Today I got a good amount of exercise- had fun dancing to some songs on Spotify as part of that. :) I worked on cleaning the fridge, though it could use some more attention than I gave it (I think I need to look at expiration dates...). Got some veggies and fruit cut and/or bagged up. Tried a chocolate pudding made with chia seeds. I'm not certain that my nickel allergy is okay with the seeds, but I'm trying them again anyway. I know I have broken out on my arms a little today, and have been a bit itchy, but it might not be them....seems like it has been before, but we'll see.
Chlorophyll is good for revitalizing a thyroid, so I'm using that for the second time this week. It's a mint flavored water when you add it to the 8 oz of water they suggest.
I did dejunk a couple areas today, and did some dusting and put some things away that had been sitting in an area unattended. So it feels and looks better to have gotten these bits of things done.
I chose good things to eat today too. Lots of fruits and veggies mainly. :)
I just had a friend over and we watched a movie on Netflix called Blink of an Eye. We enjoyed it.
Tomorrow's another day to redeem well. :)
