True Blue – Tried and True
Blues (ISTJ, ISFJ) are loyal, traditional, dependable and straightforward. They are committed and conscientious, especially about safety and consistency. “You’ll see Blues habitually using the same gym equipment all the time,” notes Brue. “They like to monitor their heart rate and keep track of their progress.” They also like to create their own space and are likely to read books or magazines while on a treadmill.

Motivation: Blues will benefit from keeping a training log or wearing a pedometer or heart-rate monitor. They like familiarity and cleanliness and will prefer an exercise space or gym that is organized, safe, predictable and clean.

Suggested Activities: Rowing, running, walking, yoga, interval training.

This is totally me!! I love interval training for one! I am always wearing my pedometer and HRM . And when I am at the gym I always go to the same machines!! WOW this was an awesome challenge!!

Love Hate relationship With the scale!

Friday, April 26, 2013

So Last week I started the Les Mills Combat workout program. I was only able to get 3 days of the dvds done. life always seems to get in the way! But I did get other workouts in at least!! So this week I figured I would just start from day 1 and make every effort to get the workout in NO MATTER WHAT! With my DD softball games and practices 2-3 days a week some right after work others a little later it makes it hard to fit in a workout! But this week I got them done!!

Digressing.......

Last week with not as much workouts I lost 2lbs!!! I was estatic (who wouldnt be right?) And that was also with watching what I was eating eating salads fruits and veggies Tracking everything!!

This week I got in all my scheduled workouts ate perfect - ok maybe the small slice of rum cake wasnt technically perfect But dang it I TRACKED it!!! And Spark tells me I have a range of 1600-1900 calories a day I can eat and I barely eat 1600 IF that!!

So This morning I get on MY love hate scale and BAMB up .4lbs!! WTF!! I just want to throw the dang thing out the window!

Thankfully there isnt a big enough window in my bathroom!! But I guess I could have just stomped on the stupid thing!!

I know I know The scale means NOTHING!!!

I feel GREAT!! I am starting to see those things called a collarbone and hip bones again!! my hubby says my face is getting thinner.

SO I know I am doing something right!! Just not at the speed I want it to be!!

Even as much as I want to scream, cry, rant and rave, and go get the biggest fastest greasest burger and fries! Oh and lets not forget the CHOCOLATE!!

I know I will not give in!! I will continue doing what I am doing and fight the good fight! I will keep on pushing every day no matter what!
AND NOT GIVE UP!!!

I have been having the same problem, started a bootcamp 6 weeks ago and have lost like 2lbs or something like that....So frustrating, but I have lost inches so I know I am doing something right!

Take your measurements and use those!!

Keep doing what you are doing- you know you are on track! And it sounds like you are really doing great. The little box will catch up with you! emoticon And if not, a hammer will make it smaller after you pound it to pieces so you can then throw it out your window! emoticon

Run for Children's Cancer 5k with My daughter

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Well this past weekend me and my daughter did a 5k for childrens cancer. We had a blast!! I jogged some and walked some. Sometimes while I was jogging my long legged 11 year old was walking fast next to me... makes me crazy LOL.. But oh well right!

So here are some pics. We finished in just over 40 mins. Probably would have done better had I kept jogging but I am building back up to it! There is always next time!!

A little cloudy out but thankfully didnt start sprinkling till after the race was over!

Lots of people for sure!

Start line

Finish Line

Finished with our medals! (yes she is taller than me)

Great to do this with family!

I always feel that way when I jog next to my long-legged husband. He's almost a foot taller than me! He can walk a 12-min mile!!
