Raising money to send my daughter to a Scoliosis Convention!! Please help!

I have set up a go fund me page for my daughterTrinity so that we can raise funds for her to be able to attend the 2nd annual Curvy Girls Scoliosis Convention in June where she will meet other girls with scoliosis from around the world and attend different leadership training and education classes to help her become a great leader for the AZ Curvy Girls Scoliosis Chapter that she is now the Leader of. Please if you can donate to sending Trinity we would sincerely appriciate it!!

    Well, I hope Trinity is able to attend the conference, I suffered scoliosis with a double curvature so I know the difficulties that can be encountered in every vein. I had the operation when I was a teenager and still have my rods in. It would have been great to have a support like this at the time!

Day 10 of Juicing Fast

Welll It is officially Day 10 of my juicing fast and boy let me tell you I really didnt think that I could make it this long without actually eating food but I did it and honestly I thought I was going to get to 10 days and be like Woohoo where is the food!! but I dont I am actually going to go another 10 days possible.

I am down 10 lbs and I feel great!! When I get 8 hours of sleep that is!! But I dont feel overly hungry even when people have food. I still of course WANT to eat food when I am cooking dinner for the family but the results are just too good to pass up by eating crap!! Ok so I really don't cook crap for dinner for the family but it is processed rice from a bag with fish or chicken.

But ya know what?? I am ok doing this!! I am feeling good. I feel lighter. I have lost 2 inches on my waist (only think I measured right now) and I can see it in my face and body when I look at myself sideways in the mirror!!

SO I can do this and I will continue doing this!! Even if I only do 2 meals a day as juicing I am reaping the benefits and living it up!!

    Congratulations on your progress! I am on Day 9 of my juice fast and also feel like that. I am going much longer on this fast. I'm not hungry, don't have cravings, and am fine around food. Also I end up sleeping 10 hours some nights. The sleep is crucial to weight loss. The longest I have made it is 18 days on fasting and I'd like to go longer this time.

    And really, you're getting a lot of nutrition from the freggies -- if you can absorb the nutrients (people with digestive diseases can't / don't but normal people do) and that's great!

Day 8

Well I am almost done with my 10 day juicing fast and I am down another .8lbs for a total of 9lbs so far. I am thinking I might actually keep going longer maybe 14 or 21 days. I will have to see how I am feeling. Yesterday was a good but hard day. Good because I got all my juices in with no issues however my tummy was all kinds of wonky. Today its alot better thankfully.. I figure I need to drink more water. so that is my goal for today!!

I also plan to get in a few walks today. 1 down before doing this blog!! emoticon

Here is what is planned for today juices.

before Brkfast: a weightloss fat burner:

2 Grapefruit,
3 lemons,
1.5in piece of ginger
1 tlsp honey

Brkfst/snack is: Makes 32oz
pineapple 596g
lime 96g
sweet potato 214g
grapes 100g
spinch 20g
blackberries 52g

Lunch/dinner makes 32oz
4 roma tomatoes
1 oragne bell pepper
3 carrots
1 cucumber
1 apple
1 scallion.

I didn't weigh out my lunch/dinner or if I did I don't have the grams available right now.

    I don't know what the book or site says for you but from my own experience of doing a lot of juice detoxes if you keep at it, it's really hard to digest food later.

GRANTED I didn't know that I had Celiac back then but from going vegetarian for over 16 years to meat-eating, I felt BAD. Turns out that is common, not so much because meat is evil in humans (I mean medically to digest) but because your body isn't producing all the digestive enzymes it used to. So...either be careful going back to food (tiny amounts VERY well chewed) or consider eating normally for the rest of the month, then doing another 10 day thing. That's a very European thing!

Day 7

This morning the scale was my friend!! I was down to 187.2 so I was down 1lb!! Which I am totally happy about!! However my tummy is all kinds of wonky!! Which isnt a good thing while I am at work! and having 2 back to back meetings!! But thankfully all was good.

For breakfast I had a tangy delight. My hubby concoction actually..

It was:
3 apples
2 pears
1 lemon
1 lime

It mad my breakfast and snack so about 32 oz.

Lunch was a recipe called Better Thank A Salad

1 cucumber
1 lemon
3 scallions
1 small handfull of parsley
1 orange pepper
3 small roma tomatoes
1 apple

It was very very tasty!! it also made 32 oz.

As for the fruits and veggies I don't use organic produce I sadly go the cheaper route money is tight!!! I drink tons of water today not as much as usual. But trying to get at least 80 oz in before bed.

I got in a 15 min walk on the treadmill at work. But today I am dragging a little bit so I think I am going to get home make my dinner and stuff for work tomorrow and then vedge out or take a hot bath!!!

    I have just a slight suggestion that might help your stomach next time, and it is totally dependent on how you juice, whether you use a juicer which removes the fiber from the fruit, or a blender which keeps the fiber. The reason i mention this is because your breakfast for today had a lot of vitamin C in it and that can cause diarrhea if you have to much. The fiber helps to prevent that, but won't stop it completely.

    Thanks for those details. I made a comment on your status earlier. You may want to up the amount of the juice you are drinking if you can. Also realize your body has some choices to make: either give you energy to exercise, work, or to clean up your body.
