Depending on where you are headed it can get chilly at night, but the days have been mild. You will love it!

It has been crazy...what's new!

We leave tomorrow AM early for 10 days with our daughter in Florida. We have Mom about packed to go. I think it has helped this season for her. She decorated a little and has her things laid out ready to pack. We are planning to only pay for one big suitcase to check in and then the three of us will pull a carryon.

Can't wait to see daughter and get my arms around her.

Looking forward to time away from work. With the holidays...it made for a nice long visiit.

Change of scenery and sunshine will be good for Mom. Has given her something to look forward to. Hopefully she keeps a good attitude and is up for change.

Haven't been tracking my intake and Weight In was BAD...up 6 pounds in one week. Not sure if some of that wasn't water weight as I haven't been eating out a lot but something was out of order.

BUT---I have been exercising faithfully.

Off to get through this day...kinda slow at work but my mind is rushing with all the things to try and remember.

Merry Christmas to all!

Wonderful Wednesday

Slow at work...no one buying car insurance...most are buying presents.

Debbie Downer has really changed...she is happy and positive person...keep waiting for the ball to drop or the knife in my back...but so far she is pleasant to work with.

Started work on redoing daughter's room. Only about 7 years since she moved out. For one thing I've been working since then...another is we had some roof leakage and it needed to be repaired and they called Monday afternoon and said they were coming yesterday to do the work...so we quickly got the room cleared. Need to sort through the boxes and consolidate things...but we have finally started. Will need to pick out pain and carpet in the new year...but the overhaul has begun. Have had the border for several years.

Fabric should be in today for my platform rocker. Had the family heirloom in the garage for years wanting to redo it and repair it. Unbeknownst to me hubby took it to a refinisher to get it repaired for Christmas. What a surprise! It brought tears to my eyes. Hubby finally had to tell me as he wanted me to pick out fabric to go on it. We picked some out and then it was discontinued. Found some online and ordered it and away we go. Can't wait to see it. How precious it will be to me. Grew up with it in the house. Will probably hand it down to daughter as she seems to appreciate things like that and she went with us to pick out fabric when she was home.

Less than a week until our trip....

Off to make it a great day!

Re-nesting our homes is always exciting! Enjoy it. "Debbie Downer" - I have a similar situation at my office but I steer clear of her when I can. Happy Wednesday, Pat

The countdown - we leave a week from today!

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Looking forward to time away for the holidays with my daughter. We leave a week from today! Yipee!

Went to eye Dr and got drops...I needed the day off...helped relax and calm me down some.

Tore into daughters old room last night. Have someone coming to repair walls. Helped clearing the room and now I can get busy...once the drywall is done...to redoing the room. Still had daughter's old things in there. She sorted through what she wanted...and it still has son's old things in there. Need to sort through things and keep and pitch things.

Off to make it a great day!

Monday Monday

Woke up with an infection in my eye. Guess that will be the priority of the day.
Rarely take off work for illness...guess this will be one of those days.

Went on a rally yesterday. Walked around a local town trying to find answers to historical questions and dates. Educational. Learned some about the community...it was a cold walk though.

Had a melt down on the way home...I was just tired. It seemed like it was go, go, go all weekend.

Good morning. First congrats on facing the cold and getting a walk in. I'd rather walk in the comforts of home during the winter. Sorry to hear about your eye infection. I pulled a hamstring this wknd so it's rough to walk and even harder to sit.

Hope you day goes well and that you find out what is wrong with your eye.

Remember to rest today... emoticonDonna
