Think I'm about ready for our company tonight.

Went to Curves by myself last night. Mom didn't want to go. The workout felt good. Really feel stronger in my upper body. Think Curves helps with that. Always glad I push myself. Often just hard at the end of the day.

Work really going better with just the two of us. We may have long days and challenging days but not worrying about someone stabbing you in the back or leave feeling frustrated with injustices.

Still not loving my job. Thinking there has to be something more to life than this. Feeling like I have more to give and more to do than what I am doing.

Looking forward to time with dear friends this weekend.

Thankful Thursday

Took Mom out shopping last night. Got what she needed and 3 new pairs of slacks. Also took her to Hallmark store for Halloween cards for great grandkids. She has to use her coupons yet by using her coupons...then she'll get more

Got some housework done after coming home.

Did OK with choices eating out with office staff yesterday. Chose side salad instead of chips or fries.

Found out son and daughter in law NOT coming for one less bedroom to get ready.

Work has been OK. Less stress without Debbie Downer Co-worker.

Off to make it a great day!

Disgusted with myself

Packed my lunch but boss bought pizza for the office. It tasted so good I ate three pieces and vendor brought pastries and I had already indulged in them, I also missed getting away for an hour from the office.

Just a bummer of a day kept making mistakes. I don't like making mistakes and when I get in one of those spells...all I do is make mistakes it seems.

Came home and went to bed at 8:30. Felt disgusted with myself and then didn't get any cleaning done for company. Oh well probably needed the sleep. Slept through most of the night until alarm went off.

Tonight picking mom up after work to get her some cologne that is on sale and looking for baby gifts.

I will make it a better day today!

    I don't think of it as "bad" foods; I do have to agree that it was a choice that you made. Today is a new day, one that gives you another chance to choose what you believe is right for you.

You can do this; it's one step at a time.

    This caught my eye:

They weren't mistakes. They were choices. Or "happy accidents" if you like Bob Ross. Maybe they weren't the best choices of those available, but based on what criteria? I know, I know, I'm being difficult, based on health criteria, of course, but based on another criteria, they could have been the right choices.

The point being, they were choices, and once you own that, then you can make new choices. For some reason, your making mistakes makes me sad. Your making choices makes me think you are one empowered person!

And, if it makes you feel any better, I'd absolutely have made the same question. There's only one thing better than pizza, and that's free pizza. =)

Getting ready for company

Working on getting the house in shape for company this Friday. Making slow progress but a little each day will hopefully make me ready by the weekend! Looking forward to company. Have my meals planned out and hubby is purchasing the list this week.

Took mom to exercise last night. Found out her neighbor is full of cancer. Made her sad. Yet living in a senior community has that draw back. She has been the neighbor to reach out to her the most and get her to go to what little she goes to.

Found out daughter booked her flight home for the following weekend. So looking forward to getting my arms around her. She is coming home to see her best friend's new little daughter Kinsley Ava. Although she isn't new any more about a month or so old now. Just didn't work out for her to get her sooner. Also she will be here to celebrate dad's birthday and ride in the local parade with her dad.

Work has been busy. Co-worker said at least she isn't mad or frustrated when she leaves every day and even looks forward to coming to work each day. Not sure I can say that...yet. But we will see how it goes.

Healthy Observations!

Been wanting to add this since I returned home last week from time off work!

1. Was able to work out with BFF at her aerobics class and keep up with them. (must be staying fit as I don't go to aerobics class any more but work out at home or at Curves!)

2. Was able to do 12.3 mile bike ride and felt good and did well!

3. Missed fruits and veggies in my diet. My BFF although she is thin and skinny doesn't eat healthy like I've obviously become. Surprised body was craving healthy foods. I missed some good crisp veggies and fresh fruit on my cereal. She bought some "healthier breads" and cereal because she knows I like healthier things...and some dried fruit for my cereal...but it tasted waxy and was high in calories. They weren't as healthy as their label suggested.

4. My body craved more physical exertion! We had a 45 minute walk up and down her neighborhood hills...and I do mean hills and it felt good to me. It was like my body needed to get rid of excess energy.

My under arm didn't wave like hers does. Mine is bigger but firm. I contribute my workouts at Curves for that.

Interesting observations I've been wanting to put down on paper to remember! Although I don't always see pounds melting off I do feel I am in better shape and able to keep up and building muscle.
