Wow! Boy did we work out yesterday. Trimmed bushes, worked in yard, spread truck load of mulch at mom's place...I was beat, sore and worn out. But we did it and we survived. Working in the the yard really wears me out any more. Maybe cause I sit most of the time at work. Enjoyed being outside. The weather was gorgeous.

Not feeling too bad but woke up early.

I am so glad that you are getting things done while exercising at the same time. Not only that it sounds to me that you enjoy the garden and yard work. Talk about a multi tasker, 3 things at once.
You rock.

Saturday

Had a nice evening with Mom. Planted her flowers and then she wanted McDonald's chicken tenders and drink and we took it to a park and sat and watched children play. A wonderful evening together. An evening like I once thought we'd have more of. It was pleasant. It was good to have some time like that together. I tried not to keep thinking...wish we were planting flowers at my house...but getting roof done and don't want to plant until they get done. Funny side note...mom stood with me while I planted and took the empty containers when I took them out...afterwards she commented...boy my back hurts from planting all those flowers. I wanted to chuckle. Hubby stopped by when he got back in town and she told him her back hurt from planting all evening. Just gotta laugh. Probably got her moving more than she has in a little while with all the rain. Precious times to remember. Now if we can keep her watering them so they don't die...Always something.

Fabulous Friday

Friday, May 20, 2011

Off to make it a great day! Planning to plant mom's flowers tonight if the weather is conducive to it...in other words if it isn't actively raining./Hubby has truck load of mulch to put on flowers. Guess he is ambitious for me. Want to get it done tonight so it isn't hanging over me all weekend and we can get some things done around here and some rest.

Hubby and mother in law planning trip to Missouri over Memorial Weekend. Looking forward to time alone. Looking to reseal shower door, some graduation parties and time alone and reflection time.

Terrific Thursday

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Off to take Mom to Dr this AM and then back to work. We did get to exercise last night but worked an hour over and after working out was exhausted. Work out most mornings but try to get her to exercise 2-3 times after work and only getting there once this week. Gotta get her flowers planted sometime if it would not rain. Would like to get them in while it's rainy then they will take off. Doesn't seem like enough hours in the day. Get my hair done after work today.

Brought mailing home to work on but didn't touch it.

Still tracking food. Seem to be doing OK with it. Have lots of veggies cut up from son's graduation party and that helps...can take snacks to work.

Debbie downer co-worker been off a couple days with illness. Been nice break from her...although she has been much better recently.

Love veggies for snacks -- but lately so expensive. Can't wait till garden is producing! WTG eating them instead of junk! emoticon

Wonderful Wednesday

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Here we go back to regular exercise and routine. Kinda feels good to get back into it. Been keeping track off eating and so far am proud of myself. I struggle with tacking but recently decided we're going to do it. Surprised myself with how much I can eat within calorie range and what I'm not getting enough of. Interesting...figured I was going over everything.

I like to experiment and see what keeps me full , feel good and within calorie range .I track first and eat after , change the meal if I don't like the calories.

Good for you but I too think the tracking helps so much. Reality check for so many of us.

The numbers don't lie...and the only way to know what the numbers are is to do the tracking. Good for you! Keep up the good work! And shoot for hitting your numbers! You can do it! Go Shooting Stars! Spark on! emoticon

I find the same thing. I can't believe what I don't get enough of and too much of. It is very interesting thing to see. I also find that it has been a helpful tool to help me want to eat better and find better options for eating the things I love.
