Made it home safe and sound. Had a great time. Little tired as we didn't get home until 12:30 am and am back at work. Everything went smoothly. Dress for mom was nice, shoes didn't hurt her feet any! and she survived it all pretty well until yesterday when she had a meltdown and yelled at my son. She was tired..so there was some drama and she continued to be in a foul mood all the way home. I understand she was tired and out of her comfort zone. You could tell yesterday that she was confused more but she was able to walk the airports and keep up with us. I imagine she will do more sleeping this week! But the wedding went smoothly, the weather gorgeous, reception was nice. It was worth all the stress and strain of the last few months preparing for this weekend. Mom has Alzheimers but for the most part can function well still...but getting our of her constant surroundings, being tired etc. really shows. She did really well until the end...so we can't complain about that. She did better than we thought she might.
The best part was my family being together. We had fun and laughed alot. Saturday afternoon we loaded up and ventured to a boardwalk in Kamah Texas and had a wonderful time. The boardwalk was so much fun. Ate at a wonderful restaurant and had lots of laughter, fun and family time.
Got home and my best friend and her mom were there...with the light on for us :) Shifting gearsShifting gears...and now preparing for our garage sale at the end of this week. I need to get through these next few weeks and then I crash.
