Fabulous Friday

Friday, November 30, 2012

Friday has flown around again. Planning to get some more Christmas decorating done. During the week it seems like every night I'm out until 9 or so...come home for about an hour and then off to bed.

Looking forward to daughter's arrival Dec 21. Gotta keep working on getting things done. Gradually picking up little gifts for Christmas. I am getting there.

Our town has Christmas Home Tours tomorrow. Mom handed me a card about it...guess that is a hint she wants to go.

Off to make it a super Friday!

Terrific Thursday

Thursday, November 29, 2012

Hubby gone to meet up with former co-worker for dinner and I gave Mom the choice of exercise or shopping. Of course she opted for shopping. We had a nice evening. Picked her up around 5:15 and got her home around 8:30. She found two pairs of pants...thinks they need hemed but I think if she washes them then they'll be about right. If not guess I'll be hemming them. I hem them and then she'll say they are too short. Just can't win.

Got hair appointment tonight after work. Enjoy going as I stop by Trader Joe's afterwards and used book store. Alwasy fun to venture around by myself at my pace. Took co-worker last time but she slows me down and didn't make it to Trader Joe's last time and I like their Multi Grain Oatmeal so much better than the one I ended up with. I also missed some of the foods I pick up at Trader Joe's.

Makes for another quick week that flies by. Suppposed to warm up a little. Gotta remember to take walking shoes and maybe can get in a walk at lunchtime.

Proud of myself co-worker offered me half of her chocolate bar and I turned her down. It was easy...had packed apples and pears to eat...I am slowly changing. Choosing healthy instead of my usual go to's. It really wasn't too hard. Just set my mind I'm not drinking pop and not eating candy at work anymore. Then I need to make sure I have snacks packed! I figure if I eat too many apples or least it is healthier foods going in me and I will feel fuller. The candy will make me crave something more in a few minutes.

Off to make it a great day!

Good morning Kathleen. Sounds like you had a busy evening and even a busier day planned. We don't get a chance to walk away from our desks at work. We are paid a straight 8 hrs and answer phones while we are eating. I have been trying to get up at least 5 min an hour and walk a bit even if it's in place plus every time I use the restroom I do 20 wall push ups.. my shoulders look fine.. lol.. Have a great day. Wacky Wednesday

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Had a good Bible Study last evening. Talked about our self talk. How we buy into negative self talk...self talk we remember from childhood etc. Instead we are to self talk what is True, What is Noble, What is Right...not things we Assume others say about us....etc. Good study. More and more I am reading what I put into my, readings, TV, self so important. What we put in is what comes back I've heard other people post....garbage in...garbage out.

Early morning meeting...
Off to make it a great day...on the lookout for what I put in my body and mind!

Proverbs 18:22 says that we eat the fruit of our mouths....either death or life. So the question then becomes: what do I want to come into manifestation in my life? Negative or positive things. It's funny....I just had this same conversation through a text message with a lady this morning. God must be trying to tell us something!

Be blessed with a wonderful day!

Thanks for this. Sometimes I feel as though there are few out there who are learning like me that what we put into our mind, body and soul, good, bad or indifferent can come out of us. Hope you continue to have a good journey. emoticon

Such wise words so early in the morning. Love it!! I always tell our clients this as well. Self esteem is such a powerful tool if used correctly and it all goes hand in hand, body, spirit, food etc all impose self image on us and those around us. Last night I dreamed I had lost all of my weight, now mind you that's about 150 lbs more to lose but what an impact that dream had on me and I remember it as well. Have a great day Kathleen ~ Hugs, Donna

Terrific Tuesday

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Enjoyed my last day off. Got some things done around the house. Took hubby to get truck fixed and it got done and picked it up so he is back with wheels again.

Daughter got phone call from local school for job interview. Will have to take certification test to add to her certifications...but hopefully they will still interview her. Praying hard she can get into the school system...if it's God's will. She doesn't like jumping through all the hoops...but its part of it. She now teaches at a private school for a lot less pay and no benefits.

Not sure if I'm ready to get back onto the whirlwind of life after 5 days off...but guess I need to. Have Bible Study tonight.

Daughter and boyfriend spend Sunday with his family. Daughter really enjoyed herself. They spent time together until 9:30 at night. She enjoys times with his family. That is a big plus as I'm thinking more and more this may be "The One" and getting along with the in-laws is very important in my book. They are a lot like us and she feels comfortable.

Off to make it a great day!

Sounds like he's a keeper, or at least, if he's ot the particular ' ONE" ; at least he has excellent values to be concerned and like the rest of the family. I like that.

God will reveal which it is. emoticon

Good morning dear friend Kathleen. I love your blogs they are always so positive and Lord only knows we need that in our lives. So glad "the one" may be appearing in your daughter's life. It is so hard to know who God has chosen for our kids we can only pray for the right man/woman to come along. My daughter started dating her husband at the age of 16. She turned 35 this year. They have been married for 14 years. I can't say enough good about Danny, he's a gem to say the least.

Have a wonderful Tuesday. ~ Donna

Magnificient Monday

Monday, November 26, 2012

Had a wonderful time off...decided to take today off also but getting up and back on schedule.

Co-worker did a great job yesterday. So proud of her singing!

Kidnapped Mom and took her for a little ride through countryside to a different restaurant for lunch/brunch. Then took her to SAMS Club, Walmart and Krogers. Took more time to wander and look around. Mom really enjoyed herself but she was tired when we brought her home. Think she had a nice day! The sun was shining and although cooler weather it wasn't the bitter cold. It was good getting her out.

Got the Christmas boxes out and started looking through things. Planning to get some more things done today. Really wanted to get more done but didn't seem to get it accomplished. When we got home yesterday I was tired and ended up taking a nap and was afraid I'd be up all night but I wasn' must have needed the sleep.

Lost a pound over the holidays. Guess it pays to go to daughter in left overs to eat at home.

Off to work out and make it a magnificent day!
