Joyful Sunday

Sunday, November 18, 2012

Got the yard trimmed up and cleaned up for winter. Not feeling too bad today a little stiff and sore...but not like a few weeks ago.

Going on a car rally this afternoon with hubby.

Have had a good weekend. Looking forward to the holiday. Going to daughter in law's family for I don't have to cook or clean.

Off to praise the Lord!

Going to work in yard with hubby. Hoping to get flower beds cleaned out of leaves and debris...and the yard. Probably be last chance before winter sets in. Woke up achey so the exercise will do me good.

Will feel good to be outside. Supposed to be cool but nice out...

That's the same thing my husband and I did this morning! Great minds think alike, eh? We trimmed the lilacs as well and leveled the ground where we want to put a storage shed. Next step, spreading gravel. Seems like we've shoveled an awful lot of gravel this fall! Just trying to get it all done before the ground freezes and weather turns. Have a great rest of your weekend!

Fabulous Friday

Friday, November 16, 2012

Guess the time invested in co-worker is paying off. She's singing with Praise Team next Sunday Think she's excited but nervous. Been a lot of Thusday nights going with her. Hopefully those will wean off now. Wearing me out going with her...but have felt led to be that someone for her.

We have made it to Friday. Somehow the weeks fly by. Boss is starting new room addition so he hasn't been around much. Been a little slow but that happens around holidays.

Been easy to eliminate sweets for three days. Shows I can do it...especially when you take small challenges. Went over calories yesterday but chose to eat more meat. Hubby put in pot pies for dinner and that really took me over quick. Wouldn't normally be my choice but only 2nd time he's cooked so fiqured I'd eat it...especially when it was ready when I got home....

Off to make it a great day!

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, November 15, 2012

Well Mom said she didn't want to do anything...she wanted to rest from being out late the night before with WII Bowling. Didn't want to go out for coffee or shopping or anything. So I went home and had a quiet evening. I was glad she didn't want to do anything as I was tired.

Get to run a couple of errands for the boss today.

Still dealing with soreness and acheyness from the weekend - I think. Hard to get moving.

Go to voice lessons with co-worker for an hour tonight after work. She is on Praise Team Thanksgiving weekend so maybe I can stop going.

Taking a 3 day challenge not to eat any sweets unless it's fruits or veggies. Made it through the first day easily. Only two more to go. I can do it.

Off to make it a great day!

I'm glad you got some time to rest too. Have you ever thought you are running yourself ragged? hmmmm. Maybe by running those errands for your boss you can get some extra walking or something in.. lol.. WooHoo. a day w/out exercising on purpose, what a thought right?

Have a great day sunshine. Hugs, Donna

Wacky Wednesday

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Co-worker came over last night and we are working on sewing her a bow case for her bow and arrows...her latest adventure. Got some of it cut out last night. She in charge of finding a some foam for the bottom of the case. It's fabric and has pink in it. Little nervous about it but it's a challenge and we can do it. Hope it turns out nice.

Mom's been hinting strongly that she wants me to take her someplace. Probably hunting for bras again. So tonight is first free when I talk to her this AM will ask her if she wants to go to Curves or for me to take her someplace. I have taken her so many times to get her fitted professionally for bras and us fitting her and she never likes them afterwards and ends up wearing the same old ones from years ago. My patience seems short yet I feel guity that I haven't spent much time with her recently. So I will offer to do whatever she wants to do tonight.

Usually after I process it in my mind - we got and have a lovely time together. It's just the thought of taking her out.

I know she's been busy cleaning and getting ready for my daughter to come home. She is so looking forward to it.

A good note is that she walked down again last evening for wii bowling again. So glad they are pulling her in to do it. I think it is good for her to do activities on her own. Maybe because we haven't had time she is reaching out to others.

Have a great day Kathleen. You will have to post pics of your bow carrier when you are finished. It should be awesome being hot pink. She'll be the talk of her archery buddies.

Curves is a good idea because you can get exercise too. It's a win, win situation.
