Fabulous Friday

Friday, June 15, 2012

At work by myself today. Praying it's a slow day. I am moving slowly today. Decided to rest again this AM. Not like me --just struggling with my knees and wondering if they need a break. Hubby says I've been pushing too hard when I work out...not sure about that...but still really feeling achy and allergies are going strong. I sound like I have a cold...but think it's allergies instead. Wondering if my intake of sugar has brought this on. Not a big sugar eater but recently we had a lot of sugary treat around the house to eat up...leftover shower cake, strawberry doughnuts etc. and I was enjoying myself...and now wondering what effect sugar has on our joints or if it could have caused a flare up in my joints. Will have to do some research on it.

Planning to get in noontime walk.

Off to make it a great day!

You'll have to come to your own conclusions. I am trying hard to be sugar free because there is so much hidden sugars and sweeteners in American foods. This is a quick snippet from ehow.com

Significance

When a person eats too many sugar laden foods, she is missing out on other important and necessary nutrients. On average, sugar accounts for 15 percent of total calories, but for many it is closer to 30 percent.

Considerations

A direct relationship has been found between high blood sugar levels and joint pain. A report by Dr. Robert Shmerling in Harvard Health Publications found that diabetics are more prone to tendinitis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis and other conditions that contribute to joint pain.

Pondering Thursday

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Woke up with a stiff neck...thinking I need a new pillow of some type or form.,.full time co-worker on vacation for a few days. Working with part timer. Thinking back how times have changed. She used to be so difficult to work with and my how she has changed. She is nice to work with now...for the most part.

Hubby got through interview. It'll be 2-3 weeks. Didn't feel like he hit a home run...but didn't strike out. The processes are so slow. At first he was down on himself but he is his own worst critic. I believe he was prepared and did his best and now its in God's hands.

Walking at lunchtime seemed to do OK with my knees so going to get back on the bike this AM and see how I handle that....not sure what all was going on.

Worked in the yard cleaning out flower beds some last night. So much to catch up on and enjoy working in the flowers.

Praise Team tonight....

Off to make it a great day!

Be sure to keep us updated! You sure have new news everyday! My dh (many years ago) thought he totally blew a job interview and they still hired him. The process was long though as we know they disqualify others to hire.

Take care of your knee, have a great workday and God love and bless you as always.

Hubby has/having big phone interview today at 9 -? Praying for God's will...hubby would really like this job. We'll see. Haven't heard anything...so maybe they are still talking?????

Got supplies for work yesterday and the cases of paper and cases of water took a toll on my knees. Could really feel it on my knees afterwards....so decided to continue to rest them this AM and will go for lunchtime walk and see how it feels

Praying that whatever your husband said in the interview will leave a positive impression on the interviewer and that the words he used will spark a leaning toward your husband's abilities and enthusiasm for the position.
If this isn't the place where God can use your husband as a witness for Him, I ask God for Him to lead your husband to the right company, and when he gets the job, he will be anointed to assimilate the knowledge and skills he needs to do well.

Terrific Tuesday

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

A crazy Monday seemed like all the nuts came out yesterday and we ended with a BANG as our power went off at 4:30 and never came back on...no computer, no phones no lights. But at 4:50 policy holder came in and I ended up with tickets to the Dayton Dragons game last night. Hubby and I enjoyed ourselves.

Knee seems to be doing better but still babying it and not working out. Plan to start up again tomorrow slowly.

Boss has decided that I am to get supplies for the offices again. Told me at my review in February that he pays me too much to get supplies and he didn't want me doing it. He was adamant about it. So Friday I get a supplies list from our other office and I forwarded it to boss asking if this was mistakenly forwarded to me...and he said "No I told them to send it to you---you can go next week when our part timer is in the office so there are two people in the office. Nice of him to let me know. I am taking the high road a not asking...but I thought you paid me too much to just run and get supplies???? But I am grumbling on the inside. I knew he didn't have time to run and get supplies. I would have appreciated him telling me first but it is what it is....

Off to make it a great day and not let grumbling enter my day....

Magnificient Monday

Monday, June 11, 2012

Taking it easy for my knee today. Raining out and boy do we need the rain. Hoping to get in a noontime walk. May have to make it Walmart or Kohl's. Knee feels ok...a little sore...not sure what I did. Hubby said I overwork it...but had been taking it easier last week. Oh well...hope to be back to regular routine soon!

Off to make it a great day!
