I Need Your Help......

Sunday, November 10, 2013

Hello Beautiful People!!!!!
I have been on yo-yo dieting for years now and enough is finally enough!! By using MyFitness Pal to track my calories I recently lost a total of 35 pounds over the course of a year. And since then I've already regained about 15 pounds back. I'm not real big on exercising. I have a weakness for chocolate and sweets. And I have a hard time committing myself to a particular workout/eating regime. I've purchased many workout DVD's (30 day shred by Jillian Michaels, Leslie Sansone WATP, Rockin Body by Shaun T, T25, Black Girls Do Work Out, etc.), I own a great treadmill, I've purchased the bodybivi vi-shape drink mix, It Works Greens dietary supplement, I've tried juicing in the past......the list goes on. It should not be this difficult!!! IT IS TRULY A MIND THING, LOL :)
Any suggestions on what I can do and what I should be focusing on?
What can I take to increase my energy and boost my metabolism?

Been there done that too many times to count. I just revitalized my healthy eating habits. Jump started my progress with Jillian Michaels' 14-day Detox program and The Digest Diet's Hearty Mexican Chicken Soup. The program made sense to me. No big $ investment either, borrowed the book from the library. Best of Luck.

I agree with the others, just stick with it and you'll see results. Make one healthy choice at a time. Try to increase your fruit vegetable intake instead of relying on supplements to give you energy. Joining one of the team challenges is a great for accountability and support!

I wouldn't worry too much about "committing...to a particular workout/eating regime" for now.

Try instead to make one healthier choice each day and make it easy. If you're going to get fit and stay fit you'll need to BUILD a pattern that you can live with. Try working out (or even just walking on your treadmill) for 15 minutes - that's all. Make one healthier choice at one meal a day. Stop and ask yourself if the snack or meal you're about to eat furthers your goals or not.

I wouldn't look to a supplement to provide more energy or boost your metabolism, however. That comes from improved health, clean eating, and reasonable amounts of activity.

Good luck.

I began by using Word Press to blog. I would much rather start posting them on here to get motivation and encouragement along the way. Please feel free to leave your comments on Spark People or the actual blog. All comments are very much appreciated!

My Cry For Help!!

Monday, December 10, 2012

Hello everyone! I hope that you all are making great progress with your weight loss. I am having a bit of a challenging time myself. I am no longer losing weight and I am having a hard time staying focused and showing discipline when it comes to not eating foods that are obviously bad for me. I have become a bit depressed and stressed over wanting to lose weight and improve my health and overall image. I need more motivation. Someone to stay on me and check in frequently to keep me on task. I know that I should have enough willpower to restrain myself from unhealthy foods but I'm just not at that level yet. I don't even have the motivation to get up and exercise. This is horrible. How will I ever reach my goal of losing 70-100 pounds if I dont ever renew my mind and get focused.
Thanks for allowing me to vent :) emoticon

Sorry to hear you are struggling. Do you think maybe you are trying to change too many things at once? You don't want to just cut out a bunch of things, because you will become depressed, and feel deprived.

As for exercise...just tell yourself you have to workout for at least 10 minutes. Most people find that once they have been moving for 10 minutes they want to keep on going. And even if you don't, at least you got those 10 minutes in, which is better than nothing at all!

So work on cutting back...or if you want to cut things out, one at a time. And work on striving for a 10 day, 10 minute, exercise streak. Start out small and build your way up. You can do this!!

I know you said you don't want to exercise, but for me that's what helps me limit what I eat. If I go put in all of that sweat and work then I don't want to undo it with junk foods. I got back into exercise by just walking for 10-15 minutes during my breaks at work. That little bit after a while got me itching for more til I joined a gym. I think that was the turning point for me.

First,Hello! I want to introduce you to one of my favorite sparkies who ,like yourself has a family with little ones that is a fantastic motivator( I am not bad, but she gets me going) Her name is PURPLE180. She is awesome, friend her.
Now,from me , a person who has been on a plateau for a little while. You have to get into the right mindset to keep on task. Is you have "fat' pictures, put them where you can see them. This is where you do not want to return to. Look at the faces of your family and think of them when you do not want to eat right or workout. You are improving your health not just for yourself.
Take a moment and sit in a quiet place and reflect on what you want and believe with hard work that you can get there, because you can.
I lend sparkie my power words from time to time. They are words I have on my vision collage that I feel are important to me. I will let you borrow them too. They are,PERSEVERANCE,DISCIPLINE,FOCUS,C
OMMITMENT,EFFORT and FORGIVENESS,because when we fail we hold it against ourselves too long like we are perfect.
Be motivated that you have been working up to this point,so why stop now.Don't measure you success by the scale, measure it by working out, staying in your nutrition range, inches lost.
Note: If you reply, stop by my page. Read a blog and be motivated from my goofy stories that are all so true. I wish you luck and success.

Stopping those foods you used to eat is never easy. I cut one out at a time... Refuse to go in that aisle of the store if you have to. I still refuse to go in the pop and chip aisle. This journey would not be easy or we would have done it already. Dont keep anything that is temping at home, if you have to go out chances are you wont go get it.
You can do this.... One day at a time one pound at a time...

Rom 12;2 teaches us, "And be ye not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.......". Exercising and eating right is often not enough; we must also make lifestyle changes. You can do it! God Bless YOU! Vic.

LOSE 100 POUNDS BY CHRISTMAS 2013!!!!
emoticon emoticon emoticon
I know some people may be afraid to set new year resolutions but I am confident that by claiming it, speaking it into existence and believing that it is already done in the spiritual realm I will achieve all goals in which are set before me. I know that with God all things are possible. I have agreed to no longer do things my way but to allow Him to do a work in me. Excited that the upcoming year is going to be a year of great success! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!!!
Be blessed everyone and Happy Holidays!!!!
