Most of the workouts I look at have some form of jumping (jumping jacks, jump rope, etc.). I really do hate jumping. After much thought I have realized that it is due to the following reasons:
#1 I have very long hair (way below my waist) and if it is down it keeps hitting my back almost like a whip lash. If I put it up in a bun, the bun keeps falling down and I have to pause to put it back in.
#2 My knees keep hurting (although, I am only 20) and it takes quite a while to catch my breath.
#3 My chest keeps bouncing and it hurts which is not so much fun.
I would love to jump rope though, but I did not know if I should do it. I have overcome #2 by wearing good shoes by Adidas which cushion my jump and I jump on my mat which helps the cause even more.
As for the other two, I have no clue what to do. I will try to solve this problem because I read somewhere that plyometrics burn a lot of calories.

I discovered Taebo two years back. Since then, I keep doing it every now and then. I lost some 7 pounds when I first started it. Hurrah!
Now, I do feel great after I do Taebo but I stopped losing weight. Maybe, I was getting better in endurance. I levelled up and tried the next level. Now, that is getting easy too. But, I can't push myself beyond 35 minutes span which includes two lower body, two upper body and two ab circuits. There is a total body circuit after these, which involves two of these groups in each exercise of the circuit.
I should probably do it with a break in the middle. The thing is that, my abs are sore after the last circuit in the 35 minute span.
I do Inferno DVD once a week. I am sore after it though.
I hope I do get fitter before I attend Grad school which is only a month away. Wish me good luck.
Also, do work on your goals. Don't lose hope. We are in this together. Let's kick that fat in its butt.
