Happy Thanksgiving to all my sparkpeople friends. I am thankful for the memories of my loved who were with me for a season.     Oh, I so needed to bump into your page today. Thank you for welcoming me to the Thryoid board ... I saw that you lost 135# and I'm so impressed.

Thank you for the encouragement.

I saw that in Oct. you posted that you have 1.3 before you reach 140# lost so I'm praying an extra prayer just for you today. .*.*♥()♥`*.
`*.

There... You may have even met that goal already but I just prayed none-the-less.

Be encouraged,

Sue

You are doing a wonderful job! We are on a similar path...seeing your accomplishment motivates me even more. I'm losing about 3 or 4 pounds a month and that's OK....just have to keep my eyes on the big picture ahead! We'll be there soon enough! I'm looking forward to being in the 160's by the end of the year and on reaching my goal sometime next year. Hang in there! :)

again, such an inspiration. i have had a few sit backs. i lost 40 in the last year. and gain back 25...ouch. i really think that i lost it too fast. i lost 40 within 3 months and plauted for about 6 months and got very discouraged. i started back my lifestyle change on last Monday. and amazing enough i lost 10 lbs my first week back. i real needed that to motivate myself. i know it won't always come off that easy. i am so grateful that i have you to look to for inspiration. and this time slow easy. again, thank you for share.

Thankful for 135 lbs weight loss!

Sunday, October 18, 2009

I weighed 169.8 this afternoon. I lost 5 lbs in a month. I know It is a slow process, but I am thankful for another milestone. I cannot remember when I weighed 169 lbs. I thank God that I have broken through my plateau and through His guidance I have found the right routine to keep on losing weigh. I pray I can lose another 5 lbs before Thanksgiving. I know all things are possible through Christ. I thank all my spark friends for their continued encouragement. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good for you for losing and getting past the "P" Yes, it might be a slow process of losing it but its so much better to lose it slowly because then you more likely to keep it off! I too have been at the "p" off and on and there currently again. I know I will get past it. I too have lost my weight slowly. Sometimes its can get aggravating but then I think about it and in the long run I know its better to lose slowly. So keep up your good work!! emoticon

Thankful for 130 lbs weight loss

Thursday, September 17, 2009

This morning I weighed 174.6. Praise God, I have lost 130 lbs and I broke through my plateau. I did not give up when it seemed I was not going to make it. I will press on to get to my goal. I had to change my exercise routine. Ironically I was able to achieve this goal by not working out every day. I still eat properly and I will workout at least 3 to 4 times per week.

What an inspiration you are! So happy for you!

Interesting what you say about changing your exercise. I hit a plateau for about 1 month not long ago, and although I wasn't overly concerned, I did wonder what might break it. Interestingly enough, it broke when my back was bad and I was unable to walk for 9 days. When I started walking again, I dropped 6 pounds like a stone. Maybe sometimes we just try too hard.

Thanking God in advance

Saturday, August 22, 2009

A few weeks ago I wrote on my daily status that I was thanking God in advance for resolving a family situation. At that time, I did not know the situation which seemed impossible to be resolved will change so quickly. When we give God our problems and don't worry about it, thanking Him in advance for resolving it. He gives us the peace that surpasses all understanding.

I can appreciate this so much. I had an important meeting with a new endocrinologist this week, it's always a fight to get past their dogmatic thinking, and was trying to pump myself up for it, but I was feeling sluggish that day, and worried that I would not have the energy I knew I would need to get the outcome I really needed. I sat there in the waiting room and just asked God to help me. Take charge of my words, and help me to find favor with the Dr. and do you know that dr. spent 2 hours in the room with me discussing my situation and the outcome was better than I expected. I left there thinking "Thank You, Lord!, Thank you, Lord!, Thank You for being a God that heals, and answers prayer. I need to learn to put more things in his hands, even the little stuff. He's much more capable than I am. That's for sure. Thanks for sharing that.
