I Need to Move!

Not in the physcial space kind of move, but move my body! If I don't get moving I am never going to hit my goal. I am already seriously behind and am going to have lots of catching up to do.

I worked out at the gym on lunch break today and hope to get in a nice 45 minute walk tonight with the hubs.

My life is slightly crazy right now, but I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can emoticon

I am "borrowing" this idea from my friend, Cindy. As we all know, putting goals in writing somehow cements them and makes them more attainable.

Goal #1: Hit my 1,000 Fitness Minutes this month. Which means . . .
Goal #2: Average 35 minutes of exercise each day. Which should help with . . .
Goal #3: Down 5 more pounds.

This should be interesting as my office is moving, I am getting a new granddaughter and we are going camping.

890 Fitness Minutes for April :-)

Although I am not up to my pre-injury (last April) monthly fitness minutes, I am getting closer! I had been reaching 1,000 fitness minutes each month and was slowly not achieving that when I injured my hip/leg/back last Spring. Last month I hit 750 minutes and this month was ohhhh so close.

The "April Challenge" on the Motorcycle Chicks group helped immensely! I even got in fitness minutes while at a conference for work in Atlantic City. It helps so much just being accountable and checking in with the group on a daily basis.

Now if I can just stay focused on the 1,000 minutes this month, I will be all set!

Busy, crazy, fun week ahead

This week is insanely busy for me. It started yesterday with purse party. Tomorrow night is the theater to see Peter Pan, Thursday night is a concert, Saturday is a wedding and Sunday we leave for Atlantic City -- oh and I need to study in between all this! I will be attempting to fit in as much exercise as I can. I do not want to loose momentum, but timing is going to be tight.

Then again -- I do love a good challenge emoticon

This weight thing has been creeping up on me for a long time now and I kind of ignored it. I have clothes that fit, although not as well as they used to, so I was in a state of denial. I am going to a conference for work in a few weeks and needed some new slacks so I look nice while representing my company. I stumbled upon some yesterday and bought them -- in the next size up from what I normally buy. I bought two pair, different brands but the same larger size. One pair fit nicely and the other pair was almost too tight! Surprisingly enough I did not cry, it just made me mad. Now I am a woman on a mission!

I have reconnected with a group on here (The Biker Chicks) and made myself accountable to them every day. They have a challenge to exercise 30 minutes every day in April. Well, I did not fit that in yesterday and am an under no illusion that I will be able to do that. I am studying like crazy for a certification for work that I will test out on at this conference.

I hope to check in here more often than I have the last year and actually do it this time! I need to get rid of those bigger pants and get back into all those cute clothes I have collecting dust!

    You can incorporate activity into everything you do if you think about it. Carry stuff in from the car in several batches instead of trying to do it all at once. Go up and down the steps many times (inefficiency equals exercise). With a little advance thought you can manage more than you think. It all counts toward those smaller pants!
