Spring Challenge: 3/20/2013

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Today was ok, I only did 15 minutes of walking, but I'm not going to get too down on myself. It was a long day and I just wasn't feeling it, I'm proud of myself that I actually went to the gym. Food wise, I wasn't terrible today, and did get all of my freggies and water and didn't have any soda, so I call that a success!

Freg: 5 servings
Water: 10 glasses
Cardio: 15 minutes
Strenth: Crunches, leg up crunches, & bicycles

Good for you!!! I also struggled with working out. It took almost 40min to decide to just try to do what I could. The only workout you regret is the one you didn't do! Keep up the great work.

Spring Challenge: 3/17/2013

Sunday, March 17, 2013

Well, today went much better than yesterday! I met all of my challenge goals, ate decently, and prepped my lunches for the week. Brown rice, chicken, corn, seasoning, and some green onion with sugar free/fat free pudding and jello for desserts! Yum! We also planned our meals for the week, now we just have to stick to it! I had a great run today and felt like I could have kept going. I'm now officially done with week 6 of c25k. I brought David lunch today at work, I had a 6-in oven roasted chicken sandwich with spinach (which is a big deal for me, I'm usually anti-green foods) and some sweet onion dressing. It was yummy! I drank water with it and had an applesauce with it instead of soda and chips!

Freg: 5 servings
Water: 10 glasses
Cardio: 32 minutes
Strenth: Crunches, bicycles, & back extensions

emoticon I love pre planning my meals. That way I don't have to constantly be thinking about food. Most of the time I do stick to my dinner plans, but occasionally get side tracked. I also like cooking two meals at one time...that way every other day frees up extra time for exercise. This works for me. Have a wonderful week. You are certainly off to a good start.

Spring Challenge: 3/16/2013

Sunday, March 17, 2013

So Saturday started the Spring Challenge, and I'm excited! Each week there are different mini challenges.

Week 1 Mini Challenges:
Eat 5 freggies/day
10 glasses of water/day
15 minutes of cardio/day
3 sets/10 reps ab exercises 4x

Day 1 did not go so well. I got 22 minutes of cardio, but didn't meet any of the other goals. I was drinking soda and eating like crap. I am determined to put a stop to that now!

Freg: No
Water: No
Cardio: Yes (22 minutes)
Strength: No

Every day in itself is challenging. You MADE 1 goal. That is awesome. Celebrate it. Tomorrow is a new day. If tomorrow you make it a goal to complete 2 out of the 4 then just do that. Stay strong and stay positive the beginning is the hardest!
