Week 1: 6.5 lbs & 3.5 inches

Monday, August 03, 2009

Whoo-hoo! I didn't know what to expect when I got on the scale this morning. I knew I had to feel positive about it because I have made every positive choice this week (which is something to feel positive about all by itself). I wanted to step on the scale again because I didn't believe it at first (I was hoping for 2-3 lbs). I know that weight loss can be fast in the beginning, with water loss- but my water percent was the same as last week (surprised it is not higher since I feel like I am drowning myself with water). Still have a LONG way to go, but it is nice to see some change in the positive direction. Goal for next week will be another 2-3 lbs. After the first month 1-2lbs a week. emoticon

Great way to start off! You sound like you have good realistic goals set...keep up the hard work! How do you measure water percent?

Enjoy your day,
Lisa

New Shoes

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

So excited! On day one I decided to order new shoes and a new sports bra to help exercise a little easier. The bra is still somewhere in the mail, but the new shoes (New Balance, 10 wide walking shoes) showed up today! I wasn't expecting to get them yet so it was a very pleasant surprise. I can't wait to try them out tonight :)

I love getting new shoes. As a child we used to think they made us run faster and jump higher. Your shoes however are going to walk you through the first part of your journey. Good Luck!!! Hope your walk last night was invigorating and I hope tonight's is as well.
