Got a new toy!

Sunday, March 01, 2009

Okay, you all know Iwalk almost everyday, weather permitting, since I live in Washington and it rains most of the time. I do try to get out at least 3-4 days a week. But now I have no excuses. That's right I just got a cross country ski machine for those gloomy rainy days. No more wondering ifI can get at least 2 miles in that day or if I can make it the full 5 miles. I can now just jump on this thing and go, watch t.v. listen to my ipod, whatever. And the best part so far is I've noticed I'm actually burning more calories in less time using this machine, can't beat that. So now if I complain about not getting in any exercise- you can politely remind me- What are you crazy! get on that ski machine girlfriend! emoticon emoticon Have a great day!

I'm a brand new Avon rep.

Monday, February 23, 2009

Since me and my husband are out of work right now. I decided to put my walking skills to even better use, and sell Avon. Now while I'm taking my walks I just drop off a few books to the neighborhoods around my area. Maybe my walking will earn me some pocket change (lol).
Have a beautiful day. emoticon If you happen to be interested you may check out my new site.

Since my DH is out of work and I am "underemployed", I have had to give up my Avon habit. I wish you much success. I love Avon products. Especially the shoes!

Walking for Life

Friday, February 20, 2009

I started walking Christmas morning 2008, and I've been walking ever since. Yes there was that one week when I had a cold and was sick on the couch all week, it made it harder to get motivated again, but I've found more motivation to keep going. I even found books and videos on walking at home when it's just too cold outside. I average 2- 4 miles a day, and try to change up my routine as well. I walk the dog on my short walk days, and once a week I walk with a friend. I found Leslie Sansone walk for fitness and walk at home products too. If you walk or if your interested in checking out what walking can benefit for you, check her out, she has a website too. I may not be losing weight as fast as I would like, but I feel better, I sleep longer at night, I can get away with eating less at meal time and not feel like I'm starving my self. I'm not seeing results on scales or measurement yet, but I'm seeing results in my clothes, and just my well being. In time I know I will see those results in the scales and measurements too! This is the easiest exercise anyone can do. And it is so versatile, and it's FREE emoticon. That's a plus in this economy.
Anyway, if your tired of what your doing take a walk! emoticon

Have a great day .

My Christmas Day walk !!

Thursday, December 25, 2008

It's been snowing for days out here, and for a week I haven't been able to walk my 2-3 miles a day, or so I thought. I read a blog the other day from someone who lives out here too, she's been walking with her dog out in the snow and ice. So here I went, I strapped on my boots that i wear when my husband I ride the motorcycle,( better traction then tennis shoes), put on a couple sweaters, my ipod and brought my dog, she loves to take walks with me. It was great, yes there was ice, but i just slowed down and bit and navigated around it, didn't fall once! emoticon. Even had someone drive by and wish me a Merry Christmas, it was a great walk all around, I got out of my slump from lack of exercise, I have a new out look on my weight goal, as well as a new commitment. I saw a friend of mine last night at church and she has made excellent progress losing weight and walking a lot. These things gave me the boost of inspiration to keep going and not give up. Although I haven't lost any weight for a while I know this will change now, my commitment level is more solid.
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you all have a blessed New Year, and a renewed commitment moment too! emoticon

That is awesome that you got in some exercise today. I didn't do anything today, but I made sure that I got some in yesterday, because I wanted to enjoy the holiday. Now that you know you can just bundle up and go for a walk. It doesn't matter if you are slower than normal the point is going out there and doing it. Keep up the good work.

January can't come soon enough

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

I have gained about 10 lbs. over the last 3 months. I'm still 20 lbs lighter then I was over a year ago. I did manage to start walking everyday, till the rain and snow season came. So I'm hoping for a treadmil for Christmas. And I'm starting to prepare my cupboards and refridgerator for the big change in eating. I intend to really work on losing these 30 lbs on a daily bases. So yes, I'm enjoying the last of the goodies to an extent, although my size 12 pants are snugger than a python right now.
I'm at that point again in my life that I am the most important person in my life as far as taking care of myself. emoticon

Christmas, easter, passover come every year.. You have to be able to do this lifestyle change without thinking it is the final meal.. It is okay to have one decent christmas dinner, and pass on the rest of the show.. It is moderation not denial that gets us folks on maintenance over the line and never giving up.. Have a plan, don't have to eat totally differently. When everyone else is eating the heavy stuff I have done my homework and found low fat recipes so my food looks likes everyones elses. The only difference is because I have not over eaten I am the only one not suffering from being bloated and gerd from all the excess fat and sugar...
