Today my friend couldn't make our walk ~ so, I walked alone!
It's nice to have a walk buddy, but ultimately, it's up to ME & I am the one who wants to get into 'that dress', & not quake in fear when I get an email saying someone has tagged me on Facebook.
I put on my hat (it was cold!) & put in my earbuds- I have a playlist called Move! & so I did.
If you have an iPhone I highly recommend an ap called RunKeeper- it uses GPS to show you how fast you are walking (or running, hiking ect)
shows you your route & calories burned.
I love it.
I have a secret talent which is out of the corner of my eye I find 4 leaf clovers~
& I found 2 today.

It's ok, & just part of my fitness journey-
but I fell off the fitness track- although I've been pretty good about tracking meals & staying within my limit (albeit at the top of my caloric intake)
& not eating junk,
I am still at a plateau- the same one I've been on for over a year & a half.
Someone asked me, so what changed?
& I have to say- the gym.
I did not think the gym was that important, because I was walking so much, but I just do not do the strength training I need to do at home.
& my mornings have become very lazy & undisciplined.
I am SUPER lucky to have Mon-Thus mornings free, so why am I squandering them in bed playing around on my iphone?
So, anyhow- this morning I walked 2.22 miles with my old friend Bonnie- we both have around 15 lbs to lose, & we live in the same neighborhood.
If I cut 200 calories off my caloric intake, & walk 3 x a week- we should be at goal in 3 months.
I have 5 months to hit my goal- I was picked to play SXSW in March.
I do NOT want to be fat just in case Rolling Stone takes my picture ;-)
I am super & highly motivated.

*disclaimer- this is about fast food, so if you are not into that, see you another time!
So, I guess 50 % of my blogs are turning into fast food reviews, I guess I will have to come up with a Spooky the Cat ranking system- using witch's hats & paws or something.
Today I drove to the other side of our tiny state (RI) to pick up a Cuisanart food processor for my now Grown Daughter, who would like to make some of her old mom's favorites in her new apt.
I really rely on my Cuisanart, which I've had from before she was born- so when one showed up cheap & barely ever used on Craigslist, I had to get it.
I went before work, so breakfast was on the road-
I thought I'd try McDonald's since Dunkin Donuts is what I usually get & I have been unimpressed lately~
Now, any good Sparker knows it's smart to research & track BEFORE you order- but I did nor have that option.
But I saw Egg White & McMuffin & knew I was headed in the right direction.
McDonalsd's Egg White Delight was truly delightful.
The egg was REAL- tasted & looked real.
7g Fat (11%)
32g Carbs (11%)
800mg Sodium (34%)
I am not woried about sodium, so not sure if that makes it off limits for some- but I will go back for sure.
Now, those are probably Pilgrim hats , now that I look again- but use your imagination ;-)

So, I realized I have been on Sparkpeople 3 years!
I have in that time lost 20 lbs, put 13 back on, & am now 8 lbs away from goal.
Oh yes, I have a Mini Goal weight too!
I want to be back in the 140s.
A couple of weeks ago my husband Ted & I made a pact that we wouldn't have any junk in the house,
& the near nightly ice cream cones would have to go.
He of course dropped weight Immediately, but I noticed my clothes fitting a Smidge better after a week, & hung in there.
This week is the week where my efforts show on the scale, as well.
Oh yeah, did I mention that I have stayed under my calorie intake bar , & hit my protein marks?
(After 3 years, shouldn't I know this works Only IF you follow that ?!)
& we go for a walk every night after Supper, usually around 2 miles
Even when I don't feel like it
Or it has gotten so dark that Ted has to wear his hated reflector vest?
I have also started a 3:30 work break workout , where I do a series of crunches, wall push ups & shoulder raise squats.
I am going to leave a set of 5lb weights there so I can do more.
3 years is a long time, & I am still learning. I will never give up!!

*this is another blog review about about a new fast food, if you do not eat ff ever~ this is a blog to skip!
So, it's Friday- my 9 hour day where I go in early- which means I usually stop off at Dunkin Donuts for a breakfast sandwich.
I usually go for the egg white on a flatbread- (both turkey sausage or veggie are equally good/healthy, & filling until lunch- around 330 calories )
but I thought I'd branch out today & try the new Summer menu offering The Hot & Spicy.
Now, they are not kidding when they say Hot & Spicy- after one bite my mouth was a tad on fire & I needed a sip of coffee (I bring my own from home).
I chose to have it on an English muffin, because I know their bagels are 300 calories a pop-
on a bagel the total would have been an unacceptable 550.
A wrap feels just too small, they use half an egg disc on a tiny tortilla. Eating at 8, & not eating again until 1:30/2 I know I would not last.
Unfortunately, when I went to log in my calories & had to put the info into the Spark database (it IS really new, & apparently unpopular!)
there was no way to get the actual info off DD website.
They had two choices- bagel or wrap.
So, I put in the info for wrap & added an eng muffin on my tracker- will not be getting another , since = ho hum.
I did not need the bacon (which was gross) & the jalopenos were a bit much, though I do love a homemade breakfast burrito.
I really should get up 5 mins earlier & make my own from home- is SO much better,
but I know I won't ;)
Am NOT a morning person!
