Its a beautiful day in the neighbourhood !

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Today, I am happy to say, that instead of driving from my office to the hospital I walked. Yes you heard it right, I walked! I just couldn't let this beautiful day pass me by in the gym, so I looked up the route in the Map Your Route, to see how far it would be, I learned it would be 3KM round trip, totally doable, so I grabbed my shoes and accessories from my gym bag, suited up and away I went. It was wonderful and I dont know why I haven't done it before. Here's the view along the way.

How do you battle your kryptonite?

Tuesday, July 10, 2012

Kryptonite is all the things that tempt me. Its everywhere, and its a struggle everyday to draw on my superman powers to say no thanks. Sometimes I win and sometimes it does. to battle my kryptonite I try to keep busy, talk positively to myself, read, go for a walk and drink water to name a few.

What do you do to battle your kryptonite?

    That's because you are emoticon!!!!!!

I do the same things, but I think for me, if I realize that I have gotten enough sleep, the cravings and overeating don't come as easily, as if I were deprived of it.

Have a fantastic day!!!! emoticon

i have to ask myself if i REALLY want it. I have to think about my day and the next day and see if its really worth it.
i also have to give in sometimes or else i will go crazy and be kind and understanding when it does happen

Because I feel it
Because I like it
Because It feels good even better after
Because its good to be surprised
Because one step at a time will do
Because I can
Because it gets easier
Because a belly needs discipline
Because Food is fuel
Because discovery is inevitable
Because I am in control of my own thinking, focus and life
Because I learn from problems and set backs
Because everyday in some way I am better, wise more adaptable

Chinese food buffet success!

Wednesday, January 05, 2011

My friend decided to have their birthday celebration at the Mandarin. A dangerous place for a would be dieter such as myself. It was hard to maintain the level of portion control I am currently doing, man was it ever, but I am proud to say that I think I did a really good job and pulled off a dinner of 565calories! emoticon
I decided to also throw in a 20 min bike ride when I got home, just to help burn off some those extra calories. emoticon

I think that I did really well, especially knowing that the old me, would have piled my plate high, gone back for more, and come home full and lay on the couch.

another sign that I continue to change. Yeah me

Chinese buffets are the worst for me! Good job keeping the calories low and THEN adding in the bike ride!
