I am upset cause i only have 26 weeks til my BFF's wedding and dont what to lose the track that i am on...Do i push even though i am not well or do i do what i can and rest?
I was restarting this week putting a great plan into action....But i dont want to push my body when i am feeling this way....
The new plan is 30 mins at home everyday 20 mis on Stationary Bike and a 10 min run...plus my Gym 3 times a week and Walking at least 3 days for 20 mins each..... hope this passes soon!

Listen to your body. If you need to rest, simply rest. Watch what you are eating, stay within your calorie ranges, drink plenty of water and the rest will sort it self out.

Start til Now

Friday, March 01, 2013

I started my Journey the 1st week of March 2012...When i met a Personal Trainer at A Womens Expo and decided to give things a try...I needed to get healthy and lose some weight and Kerrie (personal trainer) seemed to get me....
Beginning Weight- Refused to get on the scale
Beginning Inches- Arms- 18 in
-Chest- 55 in
-Waist- 71 in
-Thighs-35.5 in

I started w Kerrie once a week for 20 weeks then twice a week for 10 weeks....She was amazing and she Rocks...Then she sent me to do it on my own.....

It is now 1 yr since i met her and i feel so much better...i am not there yet but am certainly on my way......I weighed myself in April and tipped the scale at 350.5...and i cried for a week...the heaviest i had ever been......

Today i celebrate.............My weight is 312 pds
My current inches Arms-14 in
Chest-46.5 in
Waist-46.5 in
Hips-58 in
Thighs-30.5 in

That is a total loss of 47 inches in one year...28 inches of that off the Trunk of the body..... It is Awesome, amazing, More than i thought...... And 30 pounds in 11 months...........SWEET!!!!

Dressing Shopping on Friday....

Monday, February 25, 2013

I was a basket case from the time i got up Friday morning til the time My girlfriend and i got to the Bridal Boutique...Why you may ask? I had to try on clothes...never mind just regular clothes but dress and Fancy not everyday dresses. I had told them i wanted to try on some Bridesmaid dresses and Wedding Gowns....Oh BOY....
So i cried and hyperventaliated from the time i got up til my appointment at 2... I have a hard time trying things on Cause i like something try it on and 1 it doesnt fit or 2 it looks terrible because of my size. So this was not gong to be an easy 2 hours...not to mention that everyone told me to expect to be trying on dresses that are about 2 sizes bigger than i normally wear..Panic Mode since i already am close to being the biggest size htey had there.
I went in and the Consultant could tell right away that i was uncomfortable. She took all my fears away and said not to worry...So i picked some Bridesmaid dresses and to my surprise i was able to get a few on and see what they looked like and picked one... which i uploaded to Sparkpeople a couple of days ago. Its going to be gorgeous. Then on to Wedding dresses... i got nervous again..will i get them on...I never had a real wedding dress in my first wedding i had one made cause i was to ashamed of my body to go into a store for one. emoticon So i said if i got married again i wanted a Real Wedding Dress. So i picked a couple and my girlfriend picked a couple and the consultant picked a few. I started to try them on and to my surprise i fit into a 24-26.... emoticon ... I was elated and found the one accompanied by a few tears at how good it looked ...and the consultant brought me a just for fun dress. It was a true Cinderella Dress...Ball gown Crystals, bling the whole nine yards...i put it on and Wow...once i was laced into it...OMG i started to really cry this time emoticon and i looked at my girlfriend and she was crying too...OMG that was THE ONE..... Funny how the just for fun became the one....
I am not getting it right now though because i have 17 mths til my wedding and weight to lose and the Consultant said to much weight loss and it would ruin the dress trying to take it in to many sizes so i will wait...And Try it on again in a few months or Find a different Cinderella dress who knows....
The best part of the trip was that i finally found where i have lost the weight...In the wedding dresses i found a great thing...What? THat i have a waist and a great shape.... emoticon

That is so sweet. I am glad that they are making bridesmaid dresses and wedding dresses in more sizes. I think the last time I was in a wedding, you tried on like a size 10 and it was either too small or too big. My sister had the opposite issue when she got married at 18. She is only 4'11" and was very thin. She was trying on size 10 dresses and she looked like a little girl trying on her mother's wedding gown. She finally found one that looked like her.
Sounds like you are on the right track and I also added you as a friend.

Focusing on getting better in my classes at the gym is good for me.... Getting better at my R30 is good for me... Being the best me i can be for my family is good for me..... Whatever weight i may be at the wedding as long as it is smaller(and it will be) is good for me.................. emoticon emoticon

emoticon . Love the sound of this challenge. Realistic and doable. Even more emoticon is that you starting to focus more on the here and now than just the wedding date with a very specific scale goal in mind. emoticon that you are also recognizing the importance of non scale victories which you mention in the blog. You've got your work cut out for you for the next 30 days. emoticon emoticon You will do it!!!

Best Friends Wedding...

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Got the best news a Bridesmaid could ever ask for.... I get to pick my own dress! Isnt that awesome? she is emailing me a picture of the Maid of Honours dress and a color swatch..then the rest is up to me! Sweet.
My overall goal is to be 245 by the wedding.. thats 70 pds in 7 months. Doable Yes but i still havent lost the first 50 i goaled to loss a year ago. So i have to nail down a doable schedule to get these pounds off by then. right now my mini goals is to be able to run 20 mins straight by the end of the month. Right now i can do 10 no problem.
I went to a Womens Expo on the weekend and i won 10 Piloxing classes w My Trainer... emoticon . Very exciting,...something i havent done before to shake the body up. and i am going to try the R30 class at the Gym. Shaking things up might help...and i am gonna start more walking (i avoid it at all costs in the winter cause i am prone to falls... my feet hate snow lol)
Gonna find ways to push some limits to get this weight doing down a bit faster. Cant wait for the winter to be gone to start hiking again! I love hiking...
Goal for July 1 is to Run or (worst case scenario) Walk a emoticon

emoticon on your win at the Women's Expo. What a perfect prize to win.

You are very fortunate to be able to pick your own dress for the wedding. Your friend is very thoughtful to allow you to choose your own dress for her wedding. It provides opportunity for you to find something you'll enjoy wearing and feel comfortable in.

I just have to ask whether you truly feel that loosing 10 lbs a month is realistic for you? I just wonder because I know I have found the first pounds come off easily and the loss does slow down eventually. I just don't want you to become discouraged by setting a goal that becomes so difficult that you quit. You know yourself best and need to set the goals which you feel will work for you. Right now my goal is 5 lbs. per month after a 60 lbs weight loss. because I don't want to become to discouraged.

I want you to be successful at whatever your goal is. I am hoping that you'll post photos of your dress and that we'll be able to see you particiapting in your friend's wedding.

Keep up the hard work towards your goals. emoticon
