SP what are you doing?

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

Anyone else notice missing points today? I don't know what is going on, but I've had to do double posting and recheckings and SP isn't counting everything I am doing. Take for example, "Post to Messsage Board", I've had to post 6 or 7 times to get my 15 points when I should only have to post 5 times. Posting a "Comment on Member Blog", I had to post 3 times for my two points. "Track Other Goals", I tracked 5, I got 4 points I can't seem to get the 5th one no matter what I do.
The moral of the story is, check and recheck!
(I wonder if I'll get points for "Make Blog Post")

Library Day

Tuesday, September 08, 2009

Every Tuesday I volunteer at our local library. Today was a bit different day then usual. Normally I have either one or two people I computer coach and I do two hours of stacking the book shelves. Today I had one person. He had never used a computer, not unusual, and that is why I volunteer as a computer coach. He needed to get an email address and fill out some online forms. Normally this could be done quickly but for whatever reason I couldn't get gmail to accept his info, so we tried Yahoo, same thing. I tried 3 times with gmail and twice in Yahoo. Finally I tried a different computer. Bingo worked fine. So I'm wondering what that computer was doing that made gmail and yahoo reject his info. This took 45 minuets Should have been a 5 minute project. So then I helped him with the rest of what he needed. This man was so nice, he kept apologizing to me because everything took so long. I told him not to worry I was there for him and as a volunteer I could take as long as needed to help him. When we finished he signed up to see me again in two weeks and I went off to stack the shelves for an hour and a half. I really do like volunteering at the library. I do love books and reading.

Wow! Cape Coral Public Library? I think I'll look you up the next time I am in there...even though I have a degree in history and research. Sounds like you are doing good work.

Labor Day

Monday, September 07, 2009

Nothing special today. Repotted some plants that really needed it. Straighten up and swept the lanai. Can't wait for the cooler weather so we can eat outside again. Took a dip in the pool when I was done.

Went outside tonight to watch the ISS and shuttle go by. It sure moves fast.

Tomorrow it's back to looking for a job!!!

Did anyone lose 7 pounds?

Sunday, August 30, 2009

Just to let you know. I found them. Yep! Not all at once mind you. Started finding them in July. A pound here, two pounds there. Maybe it was more then one person's loss. Whatever, I need to get back on track. Part of the problem is it is to darn hot and humid out. I love walking but haven't been able to make myself get out there and walk. I make to the bottom of the driveway and I am already sweating. I hate sweating. I was never a person that sweat a lot. Then I moved to Florida. Don't get me wrong, I love it here. I just can't go walking in the summer time. A little humidity I don't mind but not that smack you in the face and turn on the waterworks five seconds out the door humidity! This year has been that kind of humidity far too long. Hoping it stops soon and I don't find anymore pounds someone else lost! emoticon

Wish someone would find some pounds I lost. They've been few and far between lately. Hah!

You are so right about the humidity. It rained yesterday morning before 8 a.m. I'm outside trying to exercise after that and came back wringing wet. Ugh. Hate that. I also tried exercising at night but it seems the neighbors complain and the cops came by to ask me if I had been down by the canals - ummm no. There are snakes ther. ewwww. Sorry for the pounds. I know this week will be an awesome week for you. Hang in there!!

Good day to bake

Saturday, August 29, 2009

Raining on and off or threatening to all day. I wanted to bake. Unfortunately I didn't have the right ingredients to bake anything healthy so I didn't bake at all.

Hey. Hope you still had an enjoyable day despite not being able to bake. Great choice to stay away from the unhealthy things. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for the spark goodie!!

Yes it was a good day to bake although I did it tonight because I was school shopping all day. In charge for supplying refreshments at church tomorrow. Before this new Spark's plan, I always use to bake cookies and make stew on rainy/snowy days. Living in Maine gave me plenty of snowy days to cook. That is probably why I am here.
