Longer Walks

As I have increased my fitness I have had to walk farther and farther to get in the same time. I suppose that is good. I am walking a lot faster. As I walk I watch my watch. I think my watch is slow. A distance that used to take me 50 minutes now takes me 30.

I always take my dog with me. I think both of us are getting into better shape.

I am getting bored with my diet and exercise routine. I have to figure out a way to change things up a bit. I do a lot of walking. I spend time on an elliptical trainer. I am thinking a bike ride would be a nice change of pace.

Time to air up the bike tires and fill my water bottle! C'Ya!

I have a Beagle named Lucas. Every day about 5:00PM he starts whining and turning circles. He wants his walk. He enjoys his walk so much it is contagious. Walking without him is just not as fun.

He tells me he is just trying to keep me in shape. I think he is fibbing.

Ok, I will admit it. I buy body building magazines. I collect workouts like some people collect coins. The most interesting thing about these magazines is that 60% of the pages are dedicated to advertisements. Products such as protein powders and weight loss pills, are "scientifically proven" to get fabulous results. Elite body builders on these adds claim that product XYZ is the secret to success. I have fallen for some of this hype. I bought bottles of Cortistat blocker, Myostin binder and Thermogenesis Appetite suppressors. I took about 1/2 these pills before I realized the only weight loss that these pills produced was to lighten my wallet!

I wish there was a pill that eliminated the need to eat less and exercise more. Diet and exercise are the only "scientifically proven" methods to lose weight. There has to be a catch there someplace!

I am eating a heck of a lot more than I did over the last few months. I am losing weight faster than ever! I have no idea why eating more speeds up weight loss.

    When we eat small amounts at certain times a day it will speed up the metabolism. Not big meals but small. thats why some who try to lose weight will eat 6 small meals a day. I personally only eat 3. When we skip meals our metabolism slows down and thats why if we don't eat we don't lose weight and if we do lose we will gain it back. but congrats and keep going, remember Hang-in-There. emoticon
