AM WEIGHT IN = 233

Have done biking on and off for two weeks but need to do more and be more consistent and cut the food portions and sugar down soon. Want to see around 230 by Sunday next week. Have to see if its possible. Have a bad week and schedule ahead - we'll see.

TRYING TO GET BACK ON TRACK

As I blog this morning I will keep this short. I have not blogged for months. I decided the day after X-mas I was going back on the Fat Farm Program. I gained so much weight partly because my schedule at work simply has been a roller coaster. So I decided I have to change the schedule in January but wanted to make it through the Holiday blues stuff first. The good news is that this year I am anything BUT Blue. I had a couple moments as I had everything packed away by 1:30 the day after X-mas. This year I needed it out and with a move sometime in the next year I wanted to make sure it was packed good. As I told my Dad I have no idea when I will open all this again and I might even be in Timbuktu by then.

I was up late but decided with the early news and then the late news I had to at least get something started. SO... it ended up being 100 jumps with the jump rope but I stopped after every 25 to take a break just because I do not want to overload anything Then I did 5 miles on the bike 4 of them VERY easy and one as fast as I could do it. So I tried to at least do something as I could not stand it any longer. My client lent me "Legends of the Fall" which I had not seen in a long time so I was enjoying that as I was biking. TV to watch or listening to music and keep your mind entertained makes a huge difference while exercising unless you are on a real bike riding on REAL trails. (I'm the Turkey Folks!)

TO many of you who have not heard from me in a while I apologize as the Fall was a total Roller Coaster ride with my work at the School district and I cannot say I have enjoyed it too much but it left VERY little time to even update Sparks like I used to as I was VERY exhausted. My Wednesdays as I may have noted were like 11.08 hours straight through for the whole day. That has to change come late January when new jobs are up and posted. But as I said I decided because we shut down for two weeks moneywise it was better to deal with the pain because January can be quite empty and dark (Talk about Holiday Blues - What about AFTER the holidays??) and it was better to make sure I had as much as I could walk away with for the month.

Lastly I would ask those of you to pray for me as I have my DOT (being that I am in school Transportation) physical this next week and I will probably do fine but not only do I want to get my body back but I need two more years of this before going back to my own school. I had a Very moving experience a week ago Friday as I work with Special Needs kids and the teacher who runs the program at one of the schools asked me and my asst. to join them at the holiday play. I was expecting a small handful of people at this high school but it was an auditorium and it was filled with about 300-500 people. Even the kitchen staff was there for a while watching the kids. Every one of the kids I either transport or take out on that Wed shuttle was involved in the play. I was elated. The work is rewarding in its own way and I want to keep doing it for now. My goodness what a month it has been and believe it or not I just did not have the "Desire" to post anything. It was a roller coaster and yet for me nothing really exciting happened in the progressive column. My new route has just been a mess and exhausting in its own way and that is still ongoing. On top of that I have been still influenced by my neighbor's death in which I had found him after he had passed away nearly a week before. So I am still coping with certain aspects of that. Today was the first day I think in weeks that I felt like I could sit down and read and try to relax a bit and even catch my breath. This book I have been working on has to get done by no later than the next week and a half as time is running out. Still I should make it if I have nights like tonight where I can turn page after page and not feel like its any strain. My biggest problem and asset this year at the school is Wednesday. It is 11.08 hours straight through with no breaks in service. So I really have to have my act together that day which is not always easy. JUMP ROPE- ITS WHAT'S FOR DINNER!

I have to tell everyone who has been listening to my soap opera here I measured using that curtain type twine to see how long I would need for a decent jump rope and when I measured it - it was only like 9 feet per Jump Rope (The girls at my old school would have been thrilled with that... SO I set off for Lowe's thinking - Oh this should be good for the cost of rope. In actuality it was not that bad or expensive and I was pleasantly surprised with only .38 cents per foot of a medium grade rope like we used to use in the Gym class in school years ago. I did take the added step of getting that liquid black tape to dip the ends in and the total cost was like $18 and some change. In actuality just the rope was only like $10 or so for the 3 ropes. This way I can have one for the bus if We have a break and one at home and one as an extra if one gets lost or wears out on this carpet or the sidewalk. I think that will help at least to get some variety but I would need to do about one hour of that a week and the other two things I should be doing too. Now as I said we just have to implement it. Hopefully with the summer cooling down somewhat it will not be as bad on the heat and I am seeing some signs that things are dissipating and even the sound and the feel at night is different like it is winding down just like I have said in my previous notes. 2012 - hottest summer Ever!

The other day when I was thinking of other easy Aerobic Exercises to do it hit me that If I went over to Home Depot or Lowes and got about 4 sets of 5 feet of rope and some of that liquid plastic stuff I could create jump ropes as well for the winter so that I get more variety than just the bike and swimming. Now after what has been a horrible summer I just have to implement things. Good news is I got a decent run I think I mentioned the other day at the school district in hours so I think things are looking up. Just need to get off our butt and get some of this done. RIGHT???...... RIGHT!
