Great season Spartans!

Tuesday, April 07, 2009

Wow. While some are sorry about the loss, I have to say I'm so impressed with the whole season! Great job to both the Men and Ladies Spartan basketball teams! Weigh to go!
I'm using both of your seasons of perseverance, dedication and achievement to help me succeed with things I feel are out of my reach... congratulations and thanks for the inspiration!

So I've inherited a hamster to babysit until Easter Sunday. Last night I got home from Boot Camp and talked to it, gave it new food and water and told it how cute it was and that I hoped it was enjoying it's new home-away-from-home. At 2 a.m. when it started running the wheel ... it was not so cute. First thing I do when I'm getting home from work (besides waking IT up if it's asleep) is to figure out how I can get that wheel to stop squeeking! ... then of course, a NAP!

Sad to see Boot Camp go...

Wednesday, April 01, 2009

It's the last day of Boot Camp for this session and I have to say it has me a bit sad. Sure, there's another session that begins in a couple of weeks, but I'm sitting that one out. I'm sticking to my plan to run in the Detroit Marathon this fall and to do that I need to hit the streets a bit more. Will I miss the stretching, yoga, weights and kickboxing of Boot Camp? Sure, but I have to admit that I'll miss the laughter, the aches and even those times where I start to shake when holding a squat or straight leg lift or a push up even more. Summer will be better, my running pattern will be developed more fully then and the session will allow me to drop in to get my Boot Camp fix. Thanks for the laughs, the strength and the muscle aches Barb~
