Summer 2014

Tuesday, June 03, 2014

So I MIGHT get it in gear for the summer. I have had an awful year so far regaining a lot of weight while dealing with more stress and less sleep than I ever thought imaginable. But that's life and I have dealt with it poorly.

So my "summer" will not wait until the official start on June 21st. I will measure summer from June 1st to September 1st.

Daily Goals for Summer:
1. Exercise at least 20 min: Pass
Treadmill 45 min

Summer Total: 2/2

2. Eat within calories: pass

Summer Total: 1/2

4. Drink at least 8 glasses of water: Pass

Summer Total: 2/2

5. 10,000 steps per day: Pass
Total: 12,153
Streak - 2
Summer Total: 2/2
1 million Steps Of Summer Progress : 25,571

20 things to let go of in order to reach unlimited happiness

Monday, February 03, 2014

I saw this on AMARILYNH 's blog. SHE got this from KATRINAKAT23's blog. SHE got it from Septemberspirit's blog. She got it from MindBodyGreen. This is dense with lots of god thoughts. Its so good I want to be able to find it again.

Here are 20 things to let go of in order to reach unlimited happiness.

1. Let go of all thoughts that don't make you feel empowered and strong.

2. Let go of feeling guilty for doing what you truly want to do.

3. Let go of the fear of the unknown; take one small step and watch the path reveal itself.

4. Let go of regrets; at one point in your life, that “whatever” was exactly what you wanted.

5. Let go of worrying; worrying is like praying for what you don’t want.

6. Let go of blaming anyone for anything; be accountable for your own life. If you don’t like something, you have two choices, accept it or change it.

7. Let go of thinking you are damaged; you matter, and the world needs you just as you are.

8. Let go of thinking your dreams are not important; always follow your heart.

9. Let go of being the “go-to person” for everyone, all the time; stop blowing yourself off and take care of yourself first … because you matter.

10. Let go of thinking everyone else is happier, more successful or better off than you. You are right where you need to be. Your journey is unfolding perfectly for you.

11. Let go of thinking there's a right and wrong way to do things or to see the world. Enjoy the contrast and celebrate the diversity and richness of life.

12. Let go of cheating on your future with your past. It’s time to move on and tell a new story.

13. Let go of thinking you are not where you should be. You are right where you need to be to get to where you want to go, so start asking yourself where you want to go.

14. Let go of anger toward ex lovers and family. We all deserve happiness and love; just because it is over doesn’t mean the love was wrong.

15. Let go of the need to do more and be more; for today, you've done the best you can, and that's enough.

16. Let go of thinking you have to know how to make it happen; we learn the way on the way.

17. Let go of your money woes — make a plan to pay off debt and focus on your abundance.

18. Let go of trying to save or change people. Everyone has her own path, and the best thing you can do is work on yourself and stop focusing on others.

19. Let go of trying to fit in and be accepted by everyone. Your uniqueness is what makes you outstanding.

20. Let go of self-hate. You are not the shape of your body or the number on the scale. Who you are matters, and the world needs you as you are. Celebrate you!

5% challenge - pre-assignments

Sunday, January 19, 2014

Pre-Challenge #1
What will you do for exercise? I will use my treadmill and stationary bike for exercise

How will you eat; by a specified diet or sticking to spark nutrition? I will eat my fruits and veggies each day. I will pack my food for work 90% of the time.

How will you connect/commit to the Cats team?
I will connect with the CATS on the chat discussion board.

Pre-Challenge #2
What exactly do you want to change? I want to lose weight and become physically healthy

How do you want to look? I want to be healthy from the inside out. Health is my focus

How do you want to feel? I would like to feel 10-15 years younger. I would like to be able to run around the yard with my kid without feeling like I can’t keep up.

What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? I want to play soccer with my sons for a long as they are able. I want to be able to run. Eventually, I’d like to run the Detroit International Half marathon and the walk the Mackinaw Bridge with my sons (I could do that now, but they’re too young)

And list all the OTHER things that you want to change! I would like to change mentally. More focus on gratitude and less on stress/frusteration.

Pre-Challenge #3
Complete

Pre-Challenge #4
Trigger Situation – Stress at work where I cannot complete what I need to get done or stress at home where theere is way too much to get done. I tend to give in to overeat. I can releasve stress by eating while getting work done.

Trigger foods for me are mostly sweet carbs. THe sources of the seets are everything.

My biggest problem si that I tend to go all or nothing. Too often I allow one slip up to ruin a full day or more. I tend to be a perfectionist and if I cannot be perfect in my eating I go way out of control. I need to set goals tha tallow for moderation and not perfection.

I have the same problem with perfectionism. If I eat one bite too much, I eat 29348539485739457 bites too much. It's a bad habit I don't know how to break, but I wanted you to know you're not alone.

Good luck with your goals!
