Whenever I feel like eating something naughty...

Thursday, January 14, 2010

I am back on track. I tracked everyday, but still ate like crap. It's amazing how eating crap will make you feel like crap too. My new resolve is to do or think things to keep me on track and eating clean. So now when I feel like eating something naughty or something that will put me way over on cals I....

touch my new found collarbone. It's been hiding awhile...glad to see you again!

think of how far I have come...75 pounds GONE!

think of the cute clothes I will get when I reach my goal...only 25 more pounds to go!

bend over and touch my toes...with straight legs. It was years that I could barely see my toes, much less touch them.

think of the stairs I can climb...and not get winded.

think of how great it feels to exercise...whudda thunk?

think of how great I feel when I hit my nutrition goals.

move in a certain way so I can feel my shirt slide across my shoulder blades...bone and not fat.

but the one thing that keeps me on track...my granddaughter. I will be able to get down on the floor and play with her...and get back up!

It's been a rough week

Sunday, December 06, 2009

My mother-in-law passed away on November 29, last Sunday. We had to make last minute travel plans to attend the funeral. I kept hoping the funeral wouldn't be on my birthday, December 3rd. I made my husband promise me that we would go out and have a nice dinner. The funeral was on my birthday and we went and had a nice dinner and celebrated the best we could. I have gained about 5 pounds as a result of the last week. I decided to just eat what I could and attempt to make healthy choices. That was difficult since we were eating on the run for 4 days. I knew it would happen and I am suprisingly ok with it. I am not stressed about it because I KNEW it would happen. Things are on track now and I know I will lose it rather quickly.

R.I.P. Lura...we will miss you

70 pounds GONE

Saturday, October 31, 2009

I am finally comfortable saying I have lost 70 pounds. I have been gaining and losing the same pound for about 3 weeks now. The dreaded plateau. I hope I have finally busted through it. I have changed up a few things in my fitness and that seems to be doing the trick. Hopefully in a week or two I will be saying good bye to the 170's.

I am so incredibly happy for you on this one! :) Those damn plateaus definitely drive me crazy and to break through is like a big sigh of relief.

:) Miss you tons and going to sing loud for you... a bit late on my end, that is... with that has happened in the past two weeks, I'm just not starting to catch up.

Hugs & Love your way!

Bye Bye 180's

Wednesday, October 07, 2009

So long to the 180's. I was happy to get below 190 and estatic I am under 180. I still have about 32 pounds to hit my goal, but I KNOW I can do it!

This means I also reached another goal...weighing less than my husband. On to the next one...75 pounds!

65 pounds gone

Sunday, September 20, 2009

I have lost 65 pounds to date. It is hard work, probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. I am so happy I made the life-altering decision to lose this weight. My life has changed in so many ways. It is funny how people look and treat you differently when you are thinner. I have so much more energy, it's unbelievable. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Hey Missy I'm damn happy that you made the decision as well. Sometimes we are always late to those life moments...me included. Funny when you think of 65 pounds it sounds like such a hard loss to reach, but you conquered it and you conquered it good!

It is a shame that people treat one another by outward appearances, and unfortunately it happens in many realms, but what you should focus on is that you are changing for the better, for the healthier you, for your granddaughter to be and be such a wonderful example to others who need to make healthier changes in their lives. So for being such an inspiration, I salute you. :)

You rock and spark strong!

You are so wonderful! Congratulations and keep it up.. you're almost HOME! I will say that you're right, people really do treat you differently when you are heavy. It's very sad and disheartening and I'm glad that one of us is getting away from that kind of treatment.. I'll follow behind you directly honey!
