Passing of the Seasons

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Ever feel lost from God? Seasons change and they're not always painless.
Here's what I'm going through right now.

Sometimes we have to be in the waiting stage until The LORD moves us on to the next stage where HE wants us!

GOD BLESS!

I think I wrote this in the wrong place first...oh well...double the love! Good job on finishing this step of your book...well done! Finishing things does leave some open space that will soon fill.
I'm glad you realize the reality of this passage: Romans 8:35, 38-39! Transitions are a challenge since they upset the applecart of our daily routine and require the establishment of a new one. I can identify with the unsettling of moving from what has become your comfort zone to a new reality that may not be so comfortable. It is never a lot of fun but over time it can become so again..in a new and perhaps more insightful place. We are always striving to become more like the Savior who overcame it all so there is certainly hope for you and I. Keep doing your daily devotional (prayer, scripture study) and then a small service of some kind.. and you will come out on top and the load will be dumped in the right place! emoticon

Congrats on getting such a major thing done in writing your book, Carley.

Your blog was a great blessing to me this afternoon, and put many things in to words that I have learned in the past months during a very painful period in my life. I had many changes going on at once, and learned that I had to let God orchestrate and I had to put my trust in Him for these changes as well.

Thank you so much.

I also love your lilac picture! They are my favorite flower, and I have four lilac bushes in my back yard, with a special story for three of them!

I get the feeling you are in a "between" stage. You have done a lot of progressing in the previous stage, and right now you are in waiting for the next stage.

I have always worked with kids who have very challenging mental illnesses as well as other educational issues. I admire you for making your story and your conditions public. Thanks for sharing this with us all.

emoticon I'm bipolar and lean every heavily on the depression end. I see my therapist monthly and see my psychiatrist every three months to take care of my meds. It's nice to see what others don't understand. Most people don't have a clue unless they are the ones with the illness or know someone and try to understand what is happening. Professional help is a must - you can't go it alone. You have to work with your professionals and make proper adjustments to your meds. You don't have to be a zombie!
Thanks again!

This article really hits home today because my brother is having a hard time with his OCD.
And this made me realize that mental illness, that is not talked about too much in our family, is very present in my family.
But I have started the discussion a few years ago, and we are being more open about it.
One of my sisters is schizophrenic , one sister is on medication for anxiety/depression, one sister is a big time hoarder (her house could be on tv for the show Hoarders), my brother had to quit work because of panic/anxiety attacks, one brother goes into depression and can't work full time, my daughter had to have help for OCD and anorexia, I was on anxiety/depression medication for a while, and I battle binge eating.
That is what I know.
There might be more.

The work you do is emoticon and I hope things are going well for you!

I loved your skinny jeans story as it brought the first great joy to your expression. Love your beautiful smile, Carley! You offered some terrific advice by having 1) lost a closet full of clothes, ton of guilt, embarrassment, self-hatred, fear, hopelessness, shame, unforgiveness, bunch of bad habits and a number of health issues, and 2) gained a new love for writing, blogging, discovered the people person in me, stronger than I ever thought possible, capable of pushing myself, love to challenge myself, found joy in being an inspiration to others.

I don't recognize myself as the big person I was (Size 24/26), as well as, the Size 10/12 person I became . . . now I seem to have settled into a 12/14 size but am seriously taking steps to lose 7 more pounds to a healthy BMI and lose 20 lbs in total. Continue to inspire others through the journey to healthy living you continue to live in.

At first the video did not load properly and claimed that there were zero minutes.

I think that I clicked on the first line for that, so then tried clicking on the second line, and then it loaded right.

Very good talk!

Worshiping in Your Dreams

Saturday, April 13, 2013

Have you ever worshiped in your dreams? I don't mean have you dreamed you were worshiping, but worship in your dreams. Here's a recent experience that I had.

Interesting. I have been calm in dreams due to the knowledge that Jesus saved me and I would go to him.

Living in the Dead Zone (Part 2)

Thursday, March 07, 2013

If God gave you a button to push that would release you from the one thing that bothers you the most... would you do it? Here's my thoughts on that issue.
