    Awesome goals! If I would make myself do these goals I could lose this weight. My problem is I don't like the planning. If I took the time to plan, I don't mind doing the shopping or actually following it. I hate planning meals, and I am actually a planner. Go figure.

I even won a few pounds on the first race!

But now it's back to business! Only six weeks to lose 10lbs. emoticon

I'm so excited. I'm off to the races with my friends this weekend.

I'm not sure what I'm going to eat. I am going to try to eat soup to balance out the other calories I'll be consuming. Hope that goes well!



Carrot or stick?

I've decided to find out what motivates me.

What's drives you forward? What inspires you to reach your goal?

I have just been reading an article in a magazine that I bought and it was talking about what drives you to lose weight. The 'carrot' part of the article was a bit lacking!

The thing driving me forward is being able to wear the clothes I want and to look good in them.
Being able to do ballet (which is hard on your knees at the best of times, but with 50lbs extra on your knees oh boy!!!)
Being healthy is a big factor for me as well.

My sticks?
Well - I hate clothes shopping, looking in those mirrors in the dressing room! Thinking to yourself did I really come out looking like this! Maybe that's just me!
I'm in my thirties and my knees crack (not good!)
Then there is the if you're fat you're going to get just about every disease known to mankind (at least it feels like that when you read the papers / watch the news.
Wondering 'would I have a partner if I were slimmer'! That's a big one for me.

Positive aspects

I'm getting better at all of this.
I'm really pleased with my exercise minutes.
I've reduced my calorie intake.
I'm really beginning to enjoy the benefits of drinking 8 glasses of water everyday (I've gained about 3 hours a day because I don't feel as tired)
My skin looks much better.

Next step - plan meals for the week so I hit all my nutritional goals!

I'm really excited about the week ahead.
