What a beautiful day....

(no picture...I am too tired to look for one!!)

The weather here was absolutely beautiful today...I had a few errands to run this morning and then I came home to do some stuff here...I then decided to go to the grocery store around 5 pm...I was REALLY dreading it because I was going to Walmart and I just knew it was going to be crowded...

Thankfully, there seemed to be more cars in the parking lot than in the store so I was able to get the stuff on my list and get out of there...a beautiful day!!!

I also lost another 2.5 lbs when I weighed in at home this morning...so I was already in a good mood... emoticon emoticon

We had our TEAM class tonight and Jacob told us he was leaving the early part of next week...we got a new trainer named Stephanie...she was there working out with us tonight but we were sooooo disappointed....Jacob has to go to Austin for a while to help his sister out...her hubby has been laid off and she is having a tough time...

It's very sweet of Jacob to pitch in though...that's what family is for...so while we'll miss him, it is very commendable of him to give up his bacholer life to move in with her and help with his nephews, etc...I'll be praying for them!!

There were 4 of us there tonight, which is more than I expected...Monday will be our last class with Jacob emoticon

Well, that's life....

Ok...a little while ago I stated I was gonna kick my exercise up a notch and I figued out how I am going to do it...it will be HARD and I'll probably fight myself on it but on non-class day (Tues/Thurs), I am going to get my arse out of bed and go to my apt gym and work out for 30 mins before work...

For cardio, my gym has a bicycle and an elliptical and I don't like either of those!!! So I can already "hear" myself talking myself out of it but I HAVE to do it...I will do that and then go to the gym in the evening for strength training...if I am diligent (which I plan to be), I will have a total of 5 days working out...

This will not be my "regular" routine but I want to do this until my birthday rolls around in June...I plan to go shopping for new clothes and want to be able to PUT IT DOWN in the stores... emoticon

Pray for me!!!

Look at those guns on her!!! I want defined arms like that!!!

Went to class tonight and there were only 2 of us again...I'm not sure where everyone else was...all the trainers kept asking Jacob where his class was...and since Friday is normally the class that most folks miss, it'll be slim pickins again...lol...oh well, I can only worry about me!!!

Jacob told me that if I come up there on a non-class day, he will show me which machines to use for my abs and lower body...he said I don't have to work the upper body since we do upper body strength 3 times a week...gotta lose this stomach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well..that's it for now...

    People dont have the stamina to make it in this journey. remind youself when you see this that you will not be in this category. i am 1 pound away from losing 50 pounds and its been the fight of my life and its taking everything i got. some people arent up for that kind of fight. you are and you will win.

I was soooooooooo sleepy this morning...I went to bed at a decent hour and was sleeping soundly until we had a storm roll through...with hail...that and the thunder work me up and I couldn't get back to my "deep" sleep....I kept waking up off and on....so I spent the first 3 hours at work in a "daze"..good thing they didn't ask me anything cause I was "not here"...lol

Class was good last night...I was the only one there for a little but folks started coming in later...I got there early enough to get my extra time on the treadmill before class started so I didn't need to stay later..plus "24" was on and I don't miss JACK BAUER for anything other than things that are illness related....

Jacob said our next weigh in/measurements there will be in 2 more weeks (of course I'll be weighing in at home) but I want to drop 10 more pounds by then...is that even possible? It probably is but not healthy since it may require me to "deprive" myself or something...plus TOM will be in the mix as well (i.e bloat) so I am really going to have to be diligent with everything...and knowing Flo, she'll arrive just in time for weigh in just to mess with me.... emoticon

If anyone has any tips on how to maximize my weight loss for the next 3 weeks (other than increasing exercise time), I'm all ears!!!!!!

    My advice would be the following:

1) Double your water.
2) Burn more cals then you take in so actually REALLY track down to the T. I get intense with this but I find it works.
3) Get in extra fitness when you can. Like one the weekends, invite someone to play basketball or tennis with you. Do whatever you can to get in extra movement like a hike.
4) take a break from eating out. save money first of all and this will give you true accountability with food. i go out about once a week to eat - thats it. and its usually a dinner with dh
5) only if you are up for it but do an AM workout that is just 20 min of cardio to jumpstart your metabolism. when i do this (like today) i see a difference on the scale. its one of my hidden secrets!
