I did 25 minutes of fitness today. I'm dedicating those fitness minutes to our member Sunny mentioned in the post below -- go Sunny!
Feeling good today! Today's highlight was tossing football with my 5 year old. For the first time, he threw really good spirals that were like bullets (ok, maybe not bullets, he's not Peyton Manning yet, but fast for him :)). I didn't count this as fitness minutes, but it was still the day highlight.
Today's member highlight is a long story that involves fitness minutes. It's a story of SparkFriends rooting each other on even in the face of serious injury (fortunately it sounds like there will be a full recovery). I got this comment below on my SparkPage last night:

Good Evening Chris,
It sounds like you have been very busy (and tired) this past few days but have inspired us all to "get it done" anyway!!! Woo Hoo to that!!!
I wanted to let you know about one of our Sparkers who has been such a supportive and encouraging friend to many of us. Her name is Sunny (RC2Cattle). She had a very frightening accident at her ranch in Texas after Thanksgiving. Many of us were worried when we didn't hear from her for several weeks. Her daughter figured out how to notify us on her Spark page. She is a cattle rancher and was feeding the bulls with her dog in toe, when one of the bulls and her dog went after each other. Long story short, she tried to rescue her dog and was beaten up and buried by the bull. Her dog saved her life. She was hospitalized with multiple broken bones and contusions.
The Great Spark news is that a Sparker named Angelabauer had the idea today for her friends to dedicate one or some of our workouts each week to Sunny. A brilliant idea, don't you think? So here we are as Sparkers supporting her recovery by honoring our own health. She will love that.
I thought that you might like this almost tragic, but uplifting story.
Thank you, again, for all you have done to connect the world in health and well being. You have truly paid it forward and people like Sunny are the beneficiary. We are all benefiting by your benevolence.
Thank you and Peace,
Then, this is the story posted on RC2Cattle's page by her daughter
News about Sunny (RC2CATTLE)
I hope I am doing this right and that I have found the right place. My name is Amy and Sunny (RC2CATTLE) is my mother. Saturday, November 26, Momma went alone with Emmitt her dog to the bull pens to take care of feeding the bulls while Daddy was haying the cows. Something happened that Emmitt didn't like and he got between two of the bulls that were butting heads. That set off one of the bulls who got Emmitt down and in an effort to try and save her dog, Momma jumped right in the middle of it.
One of the bulls got her down and spent we don't know how long trying to bury her in the pen. In the end, it was Emmitt who probably saved her life. When Daddy found her, Emmitt was bleeding and injured pretty bad, but he was standing guard over her keeping the bulls away. It was clear which bull had done the damage because his nose was ripped to shreds.
She spent a week in the hospital and it was a very scary situation, but we are so grateful we have been told she will fully recover. She has a broken leg, some broken ribs, a slight concussion, a broken right wrist and several broken fingers. There were some internal injuries but we have been told there was bruising but no ruptures or permanent damage of any major organ. And, as you would expect, she is black and blue all over.
She is home now, but it will likely be several weeks before she can do anything that requires the use of her computer. She asked me to post this note so anyone who might be wondering where she was would know what happened. I am going to try and post this in the few places she told me about, but I have no idea how to reach anyone else she might know here.
For those of you who are believers, please pray for her, and for Daddy. He, as we all expected, won't leave her side.
She won't be able to respond any time soon, but for those of you who would like to send her a note, you can send it to her email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will read the notes to her.
Here's a link to her page if you'd like to send her best wishes or dedicate your fitness minutes to her!
