    I won't be doing a run today, but I am going to be sure that I get at least 20 minutes of step aerobics while I watch TV tonight. My 20 minute a day streak is what keeps me going. (I'm on day 45!) I'll run a 5K tomorrow.

    Yes, I get at least 30 minutes of fitness six days a week, and this streak has lasted since May 21, 2011. I'm so psyched.

Highlight of the day was noticing how much more flexible I am. I can now zip up my dressed from the back and bend over to tie my shoes and paint my toenails. I even managed to touch the floor in one of my stretching routines---something I haven't been able to do in years!!!! emoticon

    Yep, even 10 minutes is hard to fit in sometimes, but I figure if you can find time to exercise then so can I. Since I'm not running a Mega Huge Website that's helping Millions of People get healthier and happier everyday of their lives, I should even get in a few extra minutes.

    Walking for at least 60 minutes a day has truly made a difference. I also enjoy tracking my food and beverages. If I could knock off the social drinks I would lose this weight so much faster. Even light beer adds up lots of calories!

    I got 10 minutes twice today by racing my kindergarteners at morning and afternoon recess instead of watching from the bench. They had fun, so did I and I kept them and me moving and busy...

    I am so blessed today! I was able to open my eyes, get up out of bed and work out for 45 minutes to the Chris Frytag 10 lb extreme body workout! This circuit workout will kick your butt! She has other videos like the 10 lb extreme upper and lower body workouts, extreme kickboxing workout! I love them all! I am so blessed to be able to come on this website and see such encouraging comments on my Spark Page! I am so grateful to all of you for never letting me give up and never judging me on the days when I did give up! Love you all!

Today's Fitness
I did 18 minutes of fitness today -- only 10 more days to hit 50 in a row!

Today's Highlights
Whew again – I'm just now getting over this crazy long cold. Have been doing very light fitness minutes with things like mini-trampoline in the sun and stretching.

We're working on building something very very cool for SparkPeople – had a great meeting about it this week!

Message: This afternoon my 6 1/2 year old walked up to me, gave me a big
hug and said " I can really tell you have lost weight and that your getting
thinner". I asked him how he could tell, figuring that he was only
repeating comments he has overheard from other people. But he surprised me
when he said "your not as squishy when I hug you".... that was my big AWWW
moment and so glad I decided to start making healthy and smart choices back
in March !!

Thank you for sharing your personal goals and streaks with us all. I have been very consistent with my jog/walking. (I used to call it walk/jogging....but now my jogging has exceeded my walking). My stress echo treadmill test last week proved to be a great advertisement for Sparkpeople. I freaked the cardiologists out. I've had two heart attacks (20 years ago), a hip replacement, and I'm a recovering alcoholic of 10 years. They couldn't believe the great shape I am in for my age. I credit Sparkpeople and consistency to the dramatic improvement.

Again, thank you for being a supreme motivator. You have enhanced my health and vitality.

    I have been walking 1 1/2 to 2 miles every day.I started doing this about 2 weeks ago. The weather has been very co operative. Yesterday and today I have been helping my husband build fence panels. It feels so good to be active again.

    Not on the 14 but on the 15 I did really well. Planted two trees which involved a lot of digging, hauling heavy items (trees, soil, mulch, 100 ft rubber hose), bending, squatting, and loading/transporting mulch. Did I say that my yard is tiered so I had to go up and down 4 steps hauling this stuff?

Whew! I am out of shape and had to take breaks but I got it done.

Bummer, it's raining today so putting down the remaining yard of mulch is not going to happen emoticon

    Reading your post, I thought I'd joined this Team before. So, when I checked my progress said I'd started week 4/4 back in June, 20TEN! but apparently never finished.

So, I left the Team to start week 1 again. emoticonI'm aiming for the four week streak...well, maybe I'll first aim for a ONE week streak...LOL

    Congrats to you.
I walked today with my dog for 65 minutes, dug up canases and we have not had water for over 1 month, so I wet the ground first, and that made the difference.
I worked in and out of the house getting ready for winter.
Sounds like you are doing great!

    I had to show my drivers license when I went to the gym and since I had lost 130 lbs before my grandson was born, when he took the license for the kids club he would say 'was this my fat grandma and now you're my skinny grandma?' I loved it. My husband did comment when he could more than just clasp his hands behind my back but he wasn't thrilled about it. :-(

I did 10 minutes of fitness today

Today's Highlights
Whew – I'm still trying to get over this "strep throat light" – today just did a light 10 minutes of bouncing on the mini-trampoline in the sunshine.

Feel like tomorrow could be a much better day. Went and saw my acupuncturist again today and liked the treatment again.

    Ok, I am new to this site so I will try my hradest to keep up and take part in challenges. so today I have decided that I will do 10 minutes per day of some exercise and I will drink 8 glasses of water. wish me luck especially with those eight glasses.     Today my highlight will be getting lots of steps in. At a chess tournament working so lots of walking between computer and floor and of course there is the set up and the breakdown. I like the steps since I have been missing the steps and exercise at the gym due to other things but trying to keep a good out look on that part. Also a big Woo Hoo to me. I dropped my insulin another 5mg!! YEAH and thank you so much SparkPeople. Could not do this without you!!! Oh and sharing my new SparkPeople Cookbook here also. It is awesome. Guess I have lots of highlights today.

Today's Fitness
I did 18 minutes of fitness today

Today's Highlights
Today's highlight was doing getting a light workout in even though I am sick (caught a cold/sore throat from the boys getting something at school). It actually felt good doing 10 minutes on the exercise bike and then stretching and drinking water (my guess is it's probably good for you to stretch and drink water while you are sick, interesting question).

Title: I am Overweight...Wow!!

Message: Now being overweight is anathema to most...but I am super excited when SP proclaimed me as overweight today!! Why? Coz when I started out I was class II obese and thru almost 2 months of consistent eating and exercising I am OVERWEIGHT...and I could not be happier!!!!!

I know I have miles to go before I reach the end of the tunnel ... but every journey starts with the first step and being "overweight" is MY first step...my kids think I am weird that I am so excited about being overweight...but I know all of you out there will understand the importance of achieving the smaller goals!

So power to all those who dropped a dress size, a stone, an lb...anything at all that says emoticon emoticon

  After returning home from the hospital, my wife signed me up with Spark People.. Just now getting aquainted with the fitness program, but have lost nearly 8 lbs. since last Thursday.. Drinking lots of water, and sticking to my diet plan. Hanging in there to reach my goals.. Have a great day...

    Certainly drinking water is good when you are sick. Stretching sounds good too just to get those muscles relieved somewhat. I know at the end of the day, I do some stretching before I go to bed, and even a little while lying in bed where I feel the muscles not relaxing well in the bed.

    90 minutes of exercise with my trainer. Now I'm on my own til Monday night when he and I will work together again. I work out for over an hour every day - different muscle groups. emoticon

    I enjoyed the presentation. Was so excited that I actually went to the gym and did 25 minutes of cycling before the meeting and then back to the gym for 40 minutes on the treadmill. Thank you for the inspiration!!

    My highlight for the day was a walk in the morning (one hour) and a swim in the afternoon (30 minutes). I love it when I get both in.

    The meeting was great! Thanks so much for offering it. I got my exercise in today: elliptical, strength training, and hOOping.
