Today's Fitness
I did 40 minutes of fitness today.

Today's Highlights
Today's highlight was doing weights and stretching while watching college basketball with my son (he's bouncing on the mini-trampoline next to me now).

Message: 1 year ago I signed up with Sparkpeople! I had started on my weight loss path and had lost 10 pounds before signing up. Then with the help of Sparkpeople I have continued to loose and have lost close to 39 pounds!! I still have 25 (or more!) to go and know that I can get there using Sparkpeople!

    Hi all im trying to do 4 miles from monday to friday i call it a wog its a walk/jog lol to motivate me i signed up to do a 10 mile marathon in aid of cancer support and make a wish foundation this is on 1st of April so wish me luck!!! Thanks for all the support i get here x

    Today I did 50 minutes of arm, abs and leg work!

Yesterday I did 50 minutes on the elliptical!

Tuesday I did 75 minutes on the elliptical and treadmill and 40 minutes of arms, abs and leg work!

Today's Fitness
I did 42 minutes of fitness today.

Today's Highlights
Today's highlight was practicing my tennis strokes outside in the cold this evening one of my favorite ways to keep my strokes from falling apart when I'm not able to play that often.

Sparkpeople advertised that they were on the radio daily, so I listened to a few of the shows, one with you, and the other with Coach Nicole.

A couple of things you said really hit home with me. First, how you committed to ten minutes a day of exercise and it helped you feel in control amidst your very busy life in Corporate America. That is absolutely true with me and exactly how I feel.

Second, you said there is a tipping point where your exercise routine really starts to payoff and it's generally between 3-6 months and that most people don't reach this benefit because they quit before then. (I am pretty sure you said this...maybe i read it in an article...i have been reading a ton of them.) Anyway, I thought back to some of my very successful workout seasons in my life and realized you were right (again).

So, thank you. These two things have been floating around in my brain and both inspire me to keep MOVING. :-)

    I exercised 40 minutes today. Ten minutes is not much time. I brush my teeth every day. I am recommitting to 10 minutes of exercise every day. emoticon

    I did a total of 233 cardio fitness minutes yesterday. I walked 7.61 miles between the treadmill and a walk I took last night, and cycled 17.33 at the gym. I think that's the most I have done in a day, with my previous being almost 24 miles walked/cycled. And so far have done 50.05 miles this week, and I have yet to hit the gym today! Going to get a good workout in just getting to the gym, because it's snowing here :)

    Yesterday was a good exercise day for me. 45 minutes at gym on elliptcal and then since it was raining and couldn't walk dogs:(( They were sad but I popped in a Leslie Sanson walk off the pounds video and did 4 miles. Total of 9 miles yesterday YAY for me!! emoticon

    I had my personal training session yesterday, which was fun (about 83 min all in all).
Had to break my streak though (the day before yesterday). But the important thing is to just keep doing it!

I did 55 minutes of fitness today.

Today's Highlights
Today's highlight was doing 25 minutes on the exercise bike while reading Lord of the Rings again . It's a LOOOOONG book!

Title: "only" 2 lbs.

Message: I lost 2 pounds this week! I have lost weight before, but somehow these 2 pounds signify something greater. I have tracked calories before, but never with SparkPeople. When I''ve tracked before, I do lose weight but I have been much more severe with my calorie allotment and staying away from treats. This time, having read so many motivating stories and articles, I allowed myself plenty of treats, while still eating within my calorie range (for the most part) and maintaining a healthy diet overall.

In short, I practiced moderation and it worked! Moderation is something I''ve struggled with. I decided to give SparkPeople''s advice a try and it worked. And, with the exercise I''m doing I''m starting to believe in myself.

I know it''s early in the process, but I''m happy with my little success today!

Today's Fitness
I did 42 minutes of fitness today.

Today's highlight was working out outside and then my son came out and joined me when he got home from school and we got to chat while he was bouncing on the mini-trampoline after I finished doing jump rope.

I am always watching the tv ads of companys like weight watchers and jenny craig but community is NOT something they advertise. I received more christmas cards this year then EVER and ALL from sparkfriends!

    Day 9 of 10+ minutes of fitness streak and I did one of Coach Nicole's cardio videos (those are no joke).

As someone who likes to compete with myself, it kills me to have to break a streak unless it's a good reason. I'm only 9 days in but the thought of going in to work and erasing my board to 0 is not something I want to do. I see your streak is at 130, and because I wasn't there for the beginning, when was the last time you broke your streak and why, if I may ask? Just curious!

I'm also reading your book. Thanks for all you do!

    Love your blogs - and yes, I did get my fitness in today, 60 minutes so far, taking the dogs out for a nice brisk walk, including a few hills. Gotta try to burn off as much as possible of the indulgence from yesterday at DH's niece's wedding - yikes!

    Got up late and only got 15 minutes on the treadmill but I increased the incline and supposedly burned 60 more calories than I would have usually.I was laughing out loud at my new found motivation and mind set! sparkin's fun

    I was feeling bad that I only did 15 minutes on the elliptical last night and then I realized that with that short amount of time, I'd met the criteria for your 10 minute challenge. It really motivated me and helped me to feel good about the short time that I did put in. It was better than sitting on the couch!

    Simple walking...adds up

Pre-op ECG...nurse said resting heart rate a little low...unless I walk, exercise, etc. regularly...when I said a minimum hour's walk most days...she smiled & said ' then resting heart rate is excellent'...I may still have some lbs to lose, but health wise, it is paying off.

    My teen son and i go to the gym together once a week while dd is at gymnastics. I love that he still wants to do things with me and he is a great exercise buddy and healthy guy. We motivate each other!

    Did 45 minutes in total today, 30 minutes on my rower and 15 minutes on my treadmill. On Day 42 of my Workout Every Day Streak and making better snacking choices as I have been struggling lately. Found some fat free chocolate pudding which taste great and only has 90 calories, much better than the Christmas chocolates that have had me in their power!

    I really didn't want to do anything after shoveling snow for a half hour (and yes it counts but..) in the end my inner voice who is awful demanding told me I would have a better night at work if I hit the cycle trainer. So 20 minutes on the cycle trainer after the shoveling.

  My workout was cleaning my house on my own. I did the bathroom and kitchen and two closets. Because I'm still in the chair I get a GREAT ab workout going! HUGS (It took about 4 hours but I logged two).

    I tweaked my knee a few days ago and was so thankful for the Spark video seated cardio workout today! I was able to get some toning in too! Spark pulled through for me again! I had to blog about it!

Cool that you and your son got to work out together and spend that quality time together outside today. It was snowy, blustery and freezing cold here in MO today, so I only ventured to the mail box and back. Brrrrrr......

My highlight was walking with my son for one mile today. Not much but he is 8 and hasn't walked a full mile I think in well, never.

    I did. My highlight was doing Coach Nicole's 5 minute stability ball beginners abs workout. Abs are something I need to work on. I love the last two exercises.
