Still Here :) Update!

Sunday, September 09, 2012's been a while and I was really going to attempt blogging more. LOL Anyhoo UPDATE! I am still trucking along! lol I have been MIA due to losing my internet for a while and then I felt I had gotten SOOOOO far behind from my teams on here that I couldn't catch up. I still read everyone's stuff and I'm happy to say I am still TRYING and working hard. I've had my ups and downs in the past few weeks but I really have gotten a better grasp at what needs to be done! lol BASICALLY it all comes down to the fact that I AM READY for this change and I KNOW I can do it this time. :) It's a pretty good feeling to have.

Hmmm so things that have happened.....I lost the internet at my house for a while....I helped moved my sister into the dorms at college & I started Grad School. :) Lots of changes and stuff going on but it's been worth it. I started back to zumba but can only go one day due to my class schedule. So I am sticking with my walking and the WATP videos as well. :)

Overall...IF I can just get my eating and everything in sync I will start to see the scale move faster! Hope everyone is still working hard! :) I'm glad to be back online! :)

Now...If I can just catch up on my team stuff and everything :-/ LOL

RHHC Blog Type Assignment :)

Okkkk...So here it is. My assignment for the Red Hot Heartbreakers Challenge! :) I haven't written a blog for a while now...and I forgot how much fun it can be. I'm super excited to be participating in my first official "Done" Challenge!

As part of the blog assignment I looked around online for a picture that I inspire and hope to one day look like. I found this pic:

I would love to look like this....& I would be happy not even being this thin! LOL I love not only her "look" but her hair as well! I have been trying to grow mine out forever!

Next, I did my measurements and ugh. :( I discovered 1 thigh is like the size of my best friends waist line. That was a bit discouraging.....THEN I got to thinking...I may have to work at getting to that size but I can just imagine the excitement and how proud I will be with myself for FIGHTING to make it happen! :)

Measurements as of July 2012:
Chest: 53
Waist: 56
Hips: 56.5
Thigh: L and R- 29.5
Upper Arm: L-17 R-17.5
Lower Arm: L-12 R-12.5
Neck: 15.75
Calf: L-18 R-18.5

Last....and here was a chore....the picture of me. I just snapped a quick one while in my bathing suit in the bathroom mirror. Not the greatest shot and I know if I look around I have more recent photos...but this is the one you are getting for now. LOL The plan is to take a photo of myself in this same top at the end of the challenge or maybe even monthly? I'm not sure what is the best idea yet? Any thoughts? Hmm and I put some lowlights in my hair...but I don't think I like. :-/ hmmm

**Sorry it's sideways...It's not like that on my computer and I can't figure out why it is on here??**

So there you have it. My very first RHHC blog and the very first blog in my Spark-tastic Comeback Tour 2012! :D LOL

    I definitely like the idea of you taking a picture of yourself in the same swimsuit again at the end of the challenge. You can take it monthly if you want, but you might not notice much of a difference and then get discouraged (unless you're a rockstar and lose lots of weight each month, in which case, go for it!).

P.S. I love your hair. I wish mine would stay as straight.

Ok. Yes…I'm in a pretty chipper mood today. I've decided not to dwell on how long it's going to take me to achieve my goals and instead I'm going to focus on actually MAKING it happen. I have so much going for me already; a happy, healthy, loving family, my puppy dog, a roof over my head, people who will go above and beyond to help me out, and of course I have my car. LOL I'm also close to the degree I've been working towards and hopefully going to be accepted into Grad school. Soooo… the past almost 3 years since spitting from my ex-husband I'm doing pretty dang good. I haven't gained anymore…and I've managed to keep off what I've lost so far. HOWEVER…it's time to get serious. I'm going to attempt this one-track-mind thing that mostly ALL of my guy friends have. HA HA! No offense to any of you guys reading this but when you all have something in mind….it's like that's all you think of and that's where your main focus lies. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about right? So….in the weight-loss healthy department….I'm going to attempt thinking like a dude. LOL

Hmmm….Other random thoughts for today? I hate when my computer will not load the internet at work because of some server switch…..hmmm and I hate when there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day because today seems a little crammed packed. Sooo…this won't be posted until I get home or the service is fixed.

Can't wait for Zumba this evening tho….& then din din with my bestest friend ever! Hopefully the work part of my day goes by quickly.

I was sitting here thinking about what I look most forward to when I lose weight and of course my list is a LOOONNNGGG one. However, what I found myself most excited about made me giggle outloud to I thought I'd share with others cuz maybe others have these random thoughts too. :)

Sooo the number one thing I look forward to is of course feeling happier, sexier, and better about myself....thats not the funny part. The funny part is that when I think of feeling sexier the FIRST thought, not the only one mind you, but the very first thought was of wearing bracelets. LOL Why you may be asking yourself does this make me think of feeling sexy? Now, I can wear bracelets now...but not really WEARRRR them. Let me explain...I haven't since I was 15 or so wore bracelets that can slide to the elbow when you raise your arms in the air. I for some reason think it will be awesome to be dancing and raise my (much slimmer in my scenerio) arms above my head and have the pretty (not sure if they are gold or silver) bracelets slide to my elbow and sparkle in the lights against my tan (which I also need to work on) skin. LOL :) This whole thought makes me smile and giggle a tiny bit. :) OH and of course insert some goodlooking guy I'm dancing with into the idea to get a full picture of the happy sexy moment. ha ha ;)

If anyone reads this....what about you? What is one of your thoughts that makes you feel excited about losing weight? :)

    i think i would have to agree with you on the bracelets and also tank tops yes i wear them now but i dont wear tight tank tops that i feel sexy in heck i dont wear any tight shirts cause i dont like the way they hug my belly emoticon emoticon

    heels and a little black dress. i dont own a little black dress. i dont own a single skirt that is above the knee. i can't wait to be able to wear one the short. (well and actually look good in it)

1. Learn to say "NO"
2. Procrastinate LESS in all aspects of life.
3. walk daily even if only for 10 minutes
4. keep up with my water
5. continue eating healthy subway sandwiches when wanting takeout
7. eat more fruits and veggies
8. get on spark more!!
9. start adding weights and core exercises
11. Celebrate even the smallest success
12. Start liking myself again
13. Letting things go... :-/
