Yay! I'm in Chicago today! I've got plans to meet up with some of my cousins and friends of the family and such tonight!! I'm very excited.
Currently, I'm really just procrastinating my C25K run! Wednesday's just wasn't as easy as I would have hoped, so I think I'm starting to scare myself about today. I've got a TON of excuses as to why I could put off doing today's workout - but instead I'm going to think of the opposites:
-my legs are honestly looking better already!
-my race is in 51 days
-completing a 5K has been a dream of mine for years
-when I finish C25K I get to buy a cute raceday outfit! :)
-running makes me happier
Oh, I forgot to mention... I've lost 35 pounds!! I didn't update my weight since I was going out of town this weekend - eek - I don't want to have to increase the weight ticker next week! But, I weighed in a 187 for 3 straight days!
I had to get back on here and post my super excitement!
I ran my last day of C25K week 4. I didn't stop jogging in my runs at all!! I'm in Chicago so the scenery is a little different - in the 30 minutes I made 3 big loops. I was very happy at the end, so I decided that my friend's dog needed some exercise, too. I took her on a walk of the big loop (20 minutes), and then jogged the big loop - stopping only to cross the streets because it's rush hour now and there are LOTS of cars out (10 minutes!). Literally, I cut the time in half! Then, we did a slow cool down of 5 more minutes of walking. I cannot believe I jogged all of that, let alone right AFTER I did the C25K run!!
I want to jump up and down I'm so excited!
