Success!

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

My surgery went very well yesterday! The stent came out with no problems, there are no stones left in any of my bile tubes, and everything looks healthy!

I had very nice nurses and I had the best doctor!
The surgical team was very professional and had a great bed side manner.

When they woke me up, I broke down in happy tears. The nurse says to me, I have to put it in your chart that you are crying. I said, I dont care! These are happy tears.

Thank you so much if you said a prayer for me or left me a message on my blog or my page.
I will try to get back to each of you this weekend.
I will be resting and taking it easy for a few days.

God Bless you my spark friends.
Onward and forward!
Jeanla

You will heal. You will feel better. I promise!
This is sound advice from the woman whose doctors often say "I've never actually SEEN a case this bad, but I read about something like it in medical school..." no matter what condition they are treating me for. And I have always healed and I always feel better! So take my word on it!
Hugs and love and happy thoughts,
Jen

sometimes you just gotta

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Sometimes you just gotta keep your head held high and deal... Somedays have been good and other days not so good... I just am keeping to the plan - God is not done with me yet! I pray for His grace for surgery next Thursday. I

have been busy busy busy with school work... I found out I will NOT be graduating in May..ONE credit shy!! Yes, I could sign up for another class starting in March, but I have decided to take one class this summer and be done by fall. Then I can transfer to Oakland University in the fall.

Onward and forward is my thing - I am moving forward and I am not looking back. I want health more than anything - when I can put all of this surgery stuff behind me - I will be taking my life back ... wait wrong way of thinking... God can keep my life.. only He can direct my steps... only HE knows where He wants me to go from here. I will be returning to church, exercise, and God willing returning to helping those in my community.

Yep just let go & let God. I'm focusing on letting God take care of my troubles, difficulties & disappointments; I have to quit trying to take things back from the Lord after I give them to Him.

You're always in my prayers...I won't forget to keep praying!

Love

Onward and Forward

Monday, February 07, 2011

My attitude this month is Onward and Forward!
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I went to see family Doc and I am on the mend... emoticon

THANK YOU so much for your prayers
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I cleaned my house for the first time yesterday since surgery, I did not do anything I did not feel I could do, like vacuum.

I started my walking program - and walked for 12 minutes my first day. I did not quite reach 1/2 mile, which is my first goal, but slow slow slow is how I have to go.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am trying to get back on a regular bed time and failing miserably. The first 4-6 weeks after surgery were horrible with getting up and down in pain and discomfort, I got off my schedule. Trying to go to sleep for hours does not cut it. On nights before school, Doc gave me sleeping pills, I need my rest. I will NOT take them daily. I have COMMIT myself to the same bed time every night to establish my bed time. It may take a week or two but it will fall back into place.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am 7 weeks post-op. In three weeks I return for my other procedure. I lost 6 pounds before surgery and I have lost 10 pounds since the surgery. My goal is to lose another 4 pounds before the next surgery, March 3.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So Onward and Forward! Off I go!

I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines! Congrats on walking those 12 minutes, too! SP founder Chris Downie started off with a goal of just 10 (!) minutes of exercise every day, and he's been keeping it up for years. Of course, I think that by now he has been able to go for longer than 10 minutes... but his goal has stayed the same.

It is such a blessing to know that you are recovering so nicely. I agree that as you stick to a sleeping routine your body will adjust. Taking it slow sounds like a wise decision. In the meantime you are in my prayers.
God Bless You!

Praise God that you are recovering. Glad to hear you are up and walking. I think if you stick to the regular sleeping schedule, it will come with time.
