One day at a time

Sunday, January 23, 2011

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

One day at a time.
I am staying home, doing small things, resting, eating well when not nauseous, taking my meds, and I am not working.

I postponed going back to work, I could not lift some of the racks that I would need to lift, I cannot bend all the way still to grab things under the counters, and I am not sure that I could tolerate the fast pace of the restaurant just yet. My boss is very understanding and keeping my job for me.

I did return to school - if I did not I would have lost my FA loan and had to deal with other factors on the loan that I decided I needed to return and do my best. I do have the option to take a medical leave if my next procedure does not go well. I am standing in faith that I am healed and the stent removal will go well and I will not need further medical intervention.

So onward and forward to health!
Thank you so much for your prayers.
Jeanla

You're being very wise taking it one day at a time. God has blessed you indeed with an understanding boss! Student loans are not so understanding. God will heal and He will provide for you and I'm praying for that! emoticon

still in need of prayer

Thursday, January 20, 2011

Hello my spark friends,
I am in need of prayer, yes I have been mia for a few days.
I am sick - I have the chills, nausea, headache, and a fever; two infections my poor body is fighting.
God is gracious, He will see me through this. ;o)
Please keep me in your prayers.
Thank you so much.

Were you a knee high sock kid?

Friday, January 14, 2011

Oh my goodness!
I bought me new snowshoe/boots and got FREE socks.
I got 6 pairs of knee high socks. My thought was I will give each of my girls a pair for Christmas and I will keep 3 for me. Let me tell ya - I wore them one time and changed my mind.
I have not worn knee high socks in over 30 years, but let me tell you.... if you have NOT worn them in a long long time like me - try them again! My legs and feet have not ever been this warm as an adult.

That's funny! Yep...I wore them. Those and knee length skirts/dresses. You're probably right...much warmer legs.

I hadn't worn knee hig socks since I was in high school many years ago. Last year I bought some on a whim and boy do I love wearing them here in the Minnesota cold, just what I needed to help keep the chill off my legs, especially when out anf about.

Let it snow, snow, snow

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

It is snowing - it took me 2 hours to get home tonight - I enjoyed the ride and the scenery very much.
OK OK OK I might be a little nuts, but I have been cooped up in the house since I had surgery.

The atmosphere was blue and white as I drove home tonight. I wish Christmas lights were still up and on as I drove. I missed my annual Christmas night drive to look at the lights.

The snow is so very pretty - tomorrow I will GO out and take some pics and post them.
I so much love the snow - even though I cannot walk it in very well.

I have always called freshly fallen sparkly snow - God's silver sent from heaven.
I love how it shimmers.

Have a good snow night.

today went OK, I am sore, but it felt good to return to some normal routine. Next week is the return to work, and while I do not feel 100%, I am going to see my boss tomorrow and let it be up to her to work me or not. I still cannot bend over or pick much up right now, meaning I cannot fully do my job. However, I can make sandwiches and I can stock my papers. ;o)

At any rate- God Bless you for stopping in... so have come hot cocoa and watch the snow fall... if you can where you are ;o)

Jean

Love your positive attitude. I read yesterday that Florida was supposedly the only state without snow. Don't know if that was true but I did get out in our chilly non-snow and get some exercise. But I still remember how much I enjoyed watching snow come down. -- Lou

just not ready

Monday, January 10, 2011

emoticon I am just not ready to return to school and work.
I am still hurting and cannot pick up much.
Tomorrow it is back to school and Monday its back to work.... and I just am NOT functioning well yet.
Doc told me to take it easy and I have done nothing. Ok I cook. but I cook a meal that will last for a few days, so I dont have to cook every day. My daughter came Sunday and cooked and took down my Christmas tree.

/the two hour drive and 7 hour day in class - I AM going to be pooped! Well in all fairness, tomorrow is an easy day - each class does a 20 mins orientation then we are dismissed. Two of my classes are in the same room back to back so I dont have to MOVE.

The drive will be the worst! But I am praying that God will give me a restful night and pain free, so I can rest well and be in a better disposition tomorrow - right now im crying in my soup... ;o)

I am hoping that this will make me stronger and not set me back. March 3 will be here before I know it and the second procedure will be done, praying it will be my last and this ordeal will be OVER and I can continue on my way to healing...

Here is me thanking God and praisiing Him for His tender mercies and healing touch...
