Just Lost 4 lbs.

Sunday, April 15, 2012

I am thankful for each and every pound. But when I reach that 5 lbs. increment, I say wow. My goal is to lose 5 lbs. each time.

This lifestyle change is not easy. It takes much determination and persistence. I plan to step up my program through water aerobics this week and for the next six weeks at the Y. It's a great way to lose weight.

I can't wait until I lose another 5 lbs. Each 5 lbs. seems like a milestone to me.

Wish me luck!

Congrats.... I felt each pound was worth celebration... I put $5 in an envelope and had enough at the end to give myself a day at a spa!

Trying Harder to Lose :)

Monday, March 19, 2012

I just started using my old Weight Watcher's tracker a couple of days ago. Also, I'm trying to walk every other day. I am just determined to lose this time. So tired of this extra poundage for 9 years. It's time to take it off.

A friend of mine just gave me some used clothing that was my current size. But as I lose this weight I plan to donate it to the food bank. Other people can use this clothing.

I fell persistent and determined to lose!

I love your idea of having a place for the clothes when you "grow down" out of them. What a great motivator.

Hospice, sunny weather, and using Weight Watchers

Friday, March 09, 2012

My Mother is currently in Hospice care at home. She has accepted the Lord as her saviour for which I'll be eternally grateful.

Looks like the sun will be out today. Hurray!

I found my weight watcher clicker and just need to replace the 2 AAA batteries.

Hope all of you are having a great Friday :)

Sugar--bad, bad, bad to the bone!

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

I just read a SP article that states sweets with sugar should be occasional treats, and I agree. Sweets are my downfall. I need to eat sugarfree yogurt or sugarfree ice cream just once, may twice, per week. NOT EVERY SINGLE DAY!! That is really wrecking my weight loss journey. I will monitor what I eat and NOT eat after 9 pm because that's when I'm BAD.
This is what I have to do if I want to need the weight off. And, I do!!

Bad to the bone, June

Once again the perfect blog for me to read. I also tend to eat poor nutrition if I'm up after 9:00. 9:15/9:30 is now my bedtime & I'm up 5:10 which is a better schedule for me.
As to sugar, made treats for my DH's lunches this am, took the cooks sample ( emoticon) & was so turned off by the sweetness. Made my mouth feel coated UCK!
Feeling bad to the bone this am as well. Listening to Koko Taylor, Bob Marley, Billy Holiday; is there a greater way to start the day?
Hang in there June. We'll make it thru this together. emoticon emoticon

I Want to be a With-It Woman

Monday, August 15, 2011

My definition of a with-it woman is someone who does everything right. In all areas of their life. Exercise, eating the right foods, socialising enough, and meeting career goals.

Guess what--the "with-it" woman does not exist. All I can do is the best I can do then let it go. The sun will rise again tomorrow. Perfection is not healthy. Reasonableness is.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."

When I first started to read your blog, I was worried about you, but the time I was finished I was glad I chose to read the blog and proud to know someone like you.

No woman is ever complete. If we're blessed we continue to change & grow. Be the best woman you strive for and celebrate the "whoops" moments as an opportunity for growth.

I have always had a very hard time with excepting this aspect in my life...perfection or doing everything right and how it just does not exist! Thanks for posting this :)
