It's like day 1 on my new journey. Although for the last couple of months I've been trying to be more active, I've not taken it too seriously. Call me stubborn, but it's been a challenge to eat right and to drink enough water. But this past week I've become more determined. I have a group of friends that have decided to do it together so that is giving me some motivation, and I have realized I need the accountability. I also joined a SparkTeam.
1st steps to success. Bought a new 32oz water bottle, so I don't have to make so many trips to refill. It seems to be working cause I met my goal yesterday and I'm well on my way today and it's early. I think I can surpass 8 cups today!
Other steps so far. Making some simple dietary changes to cut back on calorie intake. This for me is still in the experimental stage, I'm not one to compromise on TASTE, but I decided to try some light versions of certain items. Lite mayo, light ranch, light breads, lite chips, etc. I will have to sample different brands of things to find the best tasting so this is a work in progress. I can tell you that I'm not into sugar substitutes. YUCK! Luckily I don't drink a lot of sweet stuff.
Well that is about it for today. My girls are up. Gotta get them bfast and then jump on the bike before we head out for a fun filled day at the school.
