Nashville 1/2 marathon in April

Well, some friends have talked me into doing a half marathon in Nashville. My friend Nicole is moving there in March. Its kinda scary, but at the same time I know how much it would mean to me to accomplish something so big! And I will no doubt be in tip top shape if I can run 13 miles! lol I appreciate any prayers and encouragement!


BFL Week 3

I'm still sticking with the BFL. I've fallen off the wagon a few times, but I just get right back on and keep going. I'm not strictly following the recipes. I'm eating other foods too, but they are healthy and if I eat something not healthy I just eat smaller portions. I had friend chicken last nite, but just 1 leg and a roll. I ate all veggies other than that.

I had a little trouble on the weekend. Saturday nite I had pop and a candy bar, then proceeded to have serveral tortilla chipe. Sunday was supposed to be my cheat day and I went ahead and took it. The fatty food just didn't taste as good anymore, accept for the cheesecake chimichanga. That still tasted good. lol I'm back on track as of Monday though. Still going strong! I haven't lost much weight yet ,but I'm toning up and people tell me I look thinner so thats always good. I overdid it on my back excercises last week and had to skip out on my workout yesterday, but the chiropractor says I'll b good to go today.


Body For Life

I'm starting the Body For Life challenge today. I bought the eating for life book and it really got me motivated. It doesn't seem overwhelming to do and most of all it makes sense to me and its not just a diet. Its a lifestyle! I plan to eat this way for the rest of my life. You also get a cheat day one day week to help you stay motivated. If anyone is interested in joining me on the BFL challenge, I would love to have u! I joined the BFL group for women on spark. I'm not doing the same weight program, but I don't think that matters. Eating is the main thing and excercise 3 x's a week. 3 days of weight training and 3 days of cardio.

    Sounds like you have a plan....Good for you! I have looked at the Body for Life book before, i remember it - vaguely. I believe I chose not to do it because I'm not very good at doing things by myself and my husband wasn't interested. But if you can do it that is wonderful! emoticon
