Taking the rest of the week off

Thursday, December 03, 2009

I've missed two workouts this week, but I think my body needs the rest. My main focus these last few weeks was making sure I'm in bed at a decent hour so I could get in a good workout. I'm not knocking myself for missing the workouts, but these last few days I've been getting in 8 hours and missing my workouts. As I write this blog, I feel so exhausted and I still have to go back out the door for the evening. At least I have off tomorrow and will be able to sleep in.

On a good note, my personal challenge is well under way, except the lack of workouts this week.

I believe our bodies can 'speak' to us and tell us what they need. I missed a workout also this week. I was absolutely exhausted. I know myself well enough now to know if my body really needs to take a rest or if it is just being lazy. Praying for rest and refreshment for you.

I feel like doing the same thing! I have not been getting my 8 hours and it is really affecting me during the day. My body knows that I am not getting enough rest. Going to try to get a better rest tonight and I pray that you get some too!

That's always my problem; if I take a day off, I can't get started back, so I will do a shorter workout instead of none, then at least i'm getting in something.
Have a great evening! emoticon

December Challenge-Goal

Monday, November 30, 2009

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Ho Ho Ho … time to unwrap the gift of healthy habits.

This challenge is to get me through Christmas! The incredible gift I will receive from fulfilling this challenge is that of motivation, healthy habits and a healthier bod. emoticon

Each day I have the chance to earn up to 10 points. And by the end of the month, I'll have the opportunity to earn up to 300 points. I came across this challenge on an OLD spark thread. I'm looking forward to this system to push me as individual and improve my workout routine with healthy eating habits.
Hmmmm, the reward?

This is how I will earn daily points (think I'll pick up some stickers and put them on a big calendar board):

*Meals – 1 point per clean/healthy meal / snack with a maximum of 5 points (meals).
*Water – 64 oz. of water daily for 1 point
*Sleep – 7 + hrs of sleep for 1 point
*Workout – for pushing play you get 1 point (max total 6 points each week)
*Intensity – if you not only pushed play but brought it you get 1 point (not available on rest days)
*Supplements/vitamins - 1 point total per day (max total 7 points each week)
*Rest day – 1 point for a scheduled rest day (max total 2 points each week). Each point would take place of my workout point for that day.

30 day goal:
* fit into my denim skirt that's gotten a little snugg
* begin and maintain healthy habits
Workout program: (continue with) Chalean Extreme

Good luck throughout meeting your December goals! You will look great in that denim skirt. I am currently trying to get back into my skinny black jeans - hopefully by the 25th!

Babbling of my December challenge and goals for the new year. This is my first V-Blog, so forgive my stumbling. Last night I was watching the Biggest Loser: Where are They Now episode. I was encouraged and motivated by the BL who gained his weight back. I could totally relate. But I'm not sitting still ... I'm going to WIN in 2010!

Hey Sookie, Yes, of course, blabbling is a word. I geared back up mid October and started ChaLEAN Tuesday of this week. I was so delighted to "see you" when I came searching for nutrition information on the ChaLEAN team...and I have a living room "gym" too. I don't think I have all the information books, but just the Dvd's. You're gonna be in my prayers and I would ask for yours, here's to our success!! Wishing you all the best and strength and fortitude,
Bring on December and Congratulations on your engagement!
