Ever get the feeling...

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

That sometimes you think so vividly, others may hear what you thought?
That stupid people should wear a sign to warn others?
That today should have been Thursday (better yet Friday)?
That being visual makes jokes even funnier because you can "picture" them?
That not all godly people are actually godly?
That "love thy neighbor" should include a few exceptions?
That no one will EVER read a blog you posted because it was too lame or "deep"?

Just wondering... emoticon

Oh, yes! I just came back from a trip where I used my new luggage with 4 wheels and I thought, "How is it that we traveled to other planets before we thought to put wheels on luggage?"

Beautiful Day...Stuck Inside

Saturday, December 15, 2012

The sun is shining.
Birds are chirping melodious songs.
Children are frolicking in careless wonder.

Here I am. Stuck. Inside sorting through old papers...taking small breaks, and preparing for the move back home...bittersweet!

It's so intense, I ate chili with rice and cornbread for breakfast AND lunch.
I just wanted to de-clutter hidden areas and get this over with...Geez!

Man I thought I was the only one raised in a country family that ate rice with

Kindred spirits..& I sometimes eat cookies instead of toast for breakfast. I think I'm worse...

God bless,

By me, it's overcast, chilly and raining! Since I'm not really feeling motivated to exercise right at this moment, I too am trying to organize some paperwork.

So far, I'm not doing a very good job since I have been on SP for over an hour now!

Oh well... emoticon

Healing...Not defeated...Not giving up!

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

After today's view of my vocal cords, I was instructed to not sing, use lower tones and allow my vocal cords to heal.

This may seem a bit awkward, but exposure to excessive moisture on a daily basis has a profound effect on my health, especially my sinuses.

So, I simply pray, work, and heal.
The rest (as they say) is history!

If I knew then what I know now, I would have done some many different things with my vocal cords. I pray you heed your own advice...

God bless,

Take care of yourself so you can be back in business! It's no fun being at less than 100% but sometimes that's our body's way of saying "stop it". I hope you heal soon emoticon

Yes. I have decided to start, move, and finish on top of the health game!
My game face is on.
My mind is made up.

My Growing Son...QT pays off

Sunday, December 02, 2012

Watching him play on the playground at a local park felt so refreshing.
I marveled at his calm, playful spirit...
Reminded me of my innocent childhood when I'd enjoy the solitude of playtime.
The swings...whoosh! Higher in the air...imagining the top of roofs as I sat atop the high side of life (of course I was still on the swing)...
He jumped off and bolted for the Jungle Gym! Yeahhhhh!!!!

I closed my folder of half-graded papers and focused on him.
The darkness began to creep in...I watched as he smiled and relished in his imaginative play just like I used to do...

Broke my heart to tell him it was time to go. I explained how it's not safe for a mother and her son to be alone in darkness. Not all people come to the park to play and enjoy the area.

He understood and asked when we'd do it again.
I told him the 2 weeks of Christmas break would allow us more time to play outside.

Next time, no grading papers! ---- Note to self...

I know he'll only be nine for a brief time period, so I have to make the time worthwhile so when he becomes a father, he'll remember how his mom made Sunday fun before school the next day.

Yes. QT with my youngest child pays off...

And watching kids- it all makes sense how they can seem to eat and eat as they grow because a) they keep growing and b) they move like little tornadoes! Watching my friend's 2 yr old run around yesterday tired me out. lol
