Yesterday, I had the BEST blog with pictures and everything, yet it got warped into the Sparkpeople Twilight Zone...dum...Dum... DUM!!! we go AGAIN!
My plan to keep & gain my sexy is in effect.

July Goals:
1. Stay hydrated. Drink 8 glasses of water/ day. emoticon
2. Intake 5 servings of freggies. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
3. Complete 2 SparkPeople videos with my bestie( in my head) Nicole.

Message for the Day- Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

Wednesday, June 27, 2012

"But for those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

Since I have felt weaker and somewhat discouraged, I turned to God's Word for encouragement. This is my meditation for the day, my confirmation that I CAN, and I WILL!

    Also one of my favorites!

Wouldn't you LOVE to be able to demonstrate this verse to the world?? Not grow weary? I want me some of that!!! (and He is the One Who makes it happen!)

Measuring Up!

Monday, June 25, 2012

Current Measurements:
Hips: 40.5
Thighs: 26.2
Upper arm: 14

Goal Measurements::
Waist: 33
Hips: 40
Thighs: 24
Upper arm: 12-13

Usually, I would put a weight goal, but I choose to focus on measurements instead.

But it's important to notice other ways you have lost as well! How is our summer coming along? I am still typing that lovely paper about into page 31-35 I believe.

Monday... Oh Monday!

Monday, June 11, 2012

Today, I decided to do some strength training with my 30 minutes of cardio.
This should help me sleep tonight. Somehow when school starts or our summer program starts, I awaken too early.
Perhaps it's just some form of anxiety...

Today's Meals:
Breakfast: decaf coffee & scrambled egg sandwich
Lunch: Mandarin chicken, fried rice, egg roll, & egg drop soup
Dinner: seafood gumbo and parboiled rice

Tomorrow...Strength training (abs& lower body), gardening, and yoga.

Happy Summer! Sounds like you're going to be busy! Upper body one day and lower the next for your strength training is the perfect way to go! Keep up the good work. Keep us posted on your progress. Your Spark friends care! :O)

My fitness that is...
For a minute, I had "death by lack of activity" happening in my life.
Then, I failed to blog about what was happening.
Life got in the way.
My oldest child graduated from high school on Thursday. We dropped her off at college Sunday. She started class on Monday.
Although I was told by colleagues and friends that I'd cry, this NEVER happened (at least not yet).
My husband, on the other hand, seems to be missing her like crazy.
I keep hearing statements like:
" Who's gonna walk on my back?"
"I remember it like it was yesterday when she wore her Barbie dress..."
"Bring my baby home" ~ This was his Father's Day request.

Well today after realizing I have set NO June goals- at least not on paper or virtually- I 'm resuscitating my plan and posting it here in this blog.

June Goals:
1. Drink the 8 glasses (or more) of water daily.
2. Eat within my calorie range daily.
3. Strength train 4-5 days/ week.
4. Cardio at least 3 days/ week.
5. Vary my fitness activities to prevent the plateau monster.

Gotta go! Youngest daughter has an interview at her high school prep STEM program.
STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering& Mathematics
