Tired & Energetic at the same time...Hmmm!

Monday, June 20, 2011

Staring at the screen...
Giving students busywork...(somewhat)
Aching hamstrings...
Hungry...(wondering why I added hunger after hamstrings?) emoticon
I feel like I can conquer the (weight) world!
But I didn't get the 8 hours of sleep I needed.
Perhaps that is why I'm tired.
Nevertheless I walked & jogged on the beach for 4 miles in 65 minutes.
Since I kicked it up a notch, I feel energetic, but tired. emoticon emoticon

Trying to Hold On...BUMPY RIDE!!!

Thursday, June 09, 2011

Now, I try to be optimistic and patient...After all, I teach middle school hormonal dramatic angels. So why can't I stomach the incompetent nature of an adult on the phone? Am I expecting too much? Obviously I am.

Situation: I am attempting to get a discounted hotel room rate which Company X does comparison rates or cancels an existing reservation if not price match. Sounds simple right? NOT!
After talking to a service rep @ Company X, the rep says, "You'll need to call back in 30 minutes." Why was I holding for about 40 minutes and finally hung up? When I ask for an explanation about why I have to call back, the rep says because he could not get into the other company's site. Mind you, I was online on both sites while we conversed.

Problem: He didn't want to honor the policy of price matching. At some point in the conversation, he lied and stated that he was out-of-state, but later said he was in state...hmmm...(personally, I think he was outsourced).

I have NO problem with outsourcing IF the company's rep is HONEST AND comprehends the customer's needs. Too much to ask? Apparently.
So...why am I still on hold...15minutes now...new call...AAAAHHHHH!!!

I know it is frustrating, but I would definitely keep up with it and make them honor their agreement. I have been on many a conversation that frustrated the heck out of me and I have since learned to get names, times, write down the conversation, etc.

They like to play the "who did you talk to" game in hopes that you have no clue and then they can wiggle out of something. Not happening. Burned too many times for that one.

Good luck soror. And tell them, to please not make your soror come there and have to kick some booty. I mean, by the time I arrived I would be sooooooooo HOT! emoticon Just saying is all emoticon emoticon

Keep at it. I think companies need to be held responsible. If they are going to make claims to get you in they better deliver and if they don't I think it's our job to call them on it. I hope you get your deal and maybe a little more for all the run around. Stick to it!

They were not honest with you! That happens....I would get in touch with them again and ask what's the deal?

One more day left...

Wednesday, June 01, 2011

It's one more day left before school's out.
I am waiting for the last bell to ring.
Can't contain myself much longer.
Peace is a blissful thing!

A whole day left to squander and watch the hands on the clock.
As soon as the lads disappear, ya girl is gonna rock!

Can't wait til I'm free from the paperwork, books, & rules...
Gonna chunk up the deuces and wave goodbye to these educated fools!!!

(Just a lil something I'm feelin'...my babies aren't fools at all, but I HAD to rhyme)

Girl you have issues emoticon. I can't imagine how excited you are. This is the time of the year that I get so jealous of your TEACHERS. Any other time, you can HAVE IT!

I am so excited that this school year is over for Adrian. He is so done with his teacher right now. I just keep telling him to be respectful and that a few more days isn't worth him getting in trouble. They don't get out until next week.

Enjoy your summer and make sure to update me so I can live vicariously through YOU.

SetBacks Serving A Purpose

Sunday, May 29, 2011

About 9 years ago, I had a MAJOR health scare. There was an obstruction of my small and large intestine, and colon and could not eat for 6 months- yes...months. Talk about going from a size 10/12 to a 2 in 6 months was AWEFUL! (Doing it that way was)...
The problem: non-cancerous tumor the size of a small grapefruit.
Solution: surgery and area repaired.

Fast-forward to today: Since Friday, I have had some abdominal pain due to some possible blockage. Perhaps I did not chew my food properly from Thursday. This is the other reason why I think food tracking can be life-saving.
So now, although I have been feeling some relief (thanks to a wonderful, persistant husband).

Today, I do feel better but some discomfort. this too shall pass. God is god!

Good for you getting to maintainence!!! emoticon.

Keep enjoying the compliments. Years ago a friend of mine told me that there are only three responsed to a compliment:

1. Thank you
2. Thank you very much
3. Thank you, say it again!
