Staying motivated

Since joining SP I've been so motivated to stay on program. I've recently tried WW "Wendie Plan" which is varying daily points but still staying within the allowed weekly points. Now some SP friends have been urging me to try tracking with SP and figuring calories instead of points. I truly need to get moving too, more than just walking now and then! Even my doctor recently told me to get to exercising! Let's hope this gets me moving downward again so I can reach that goal by fall! I'm tired of being a turtle! emoticon Here I come leaping past the finish line.... emoticon

I've been keeping a note book to keep track of my pts and calories both, still just taking it one day at a time.

    Thanks, Michelle. You look so good in your pics! I hope one day to get there too. emoticon I don't have time to do much blogging on SP but always check the articles and recipes, etc. This weekend I'm going to try tracking on SP and see how many calories, etc. I'm taking in on WW. It is a balanced program but with my assigned points down to only 18/day I just can't get in everything I'm supposed to (i.e. 2 dairy, etc.) When I lost on WW before I could eat all the food I was supposed to. So, go figure! No wonder my body is in starvation mode now!

    Nice to see you posting again!

I've never done WW, so I can't compare...but tracking calories works for me! Maybe just having a new way to measure will shake things up some and keep you motivated?

emoticon I've been calling myself the turtle because my weight comes of so very slowly! But finally, things are beginning to look up! I'm motivated again (after a 2-week hiatus) and sticking to it! You know how the race went with the tortoise and the maybe I'll make it yet! Yipee!

One month update

As always, I've been extremely slow in loosing, even that one pound a week goal now seems to be too much! At my one-month mark I've only lost 3 lbs. (instead of 5) and I've been stuck at the very same mark for over three weeks! It's easy to get discouraged and give up - going back to "normal" eating - but I keep on keeping on, believing there's got to be a break-through any day. I guess it's like a sales person going door-to-door and believing the very next door knocked on is going to be the one where a sale will be made! Every day I get up believing this could be the day I see a drop! I'm really needing a boost to keep believing tho'. I've met another SP who lives just a couple of blocks away and she's been a great encourager and full of energy! So that is a real plus right now.

    Don't get discouraged!!! Did you measure yourself when you started? Have you lost any inches? How are you feeling? More energy? Think about all the positives!!
