I thought my knee wasnt so bad. Nothing like the torn meniscus from last summer.
But, today as I was cleaning in my bedroom, I stretched across to sweep down the walls and put all my weight on that leg and man did it hurt.
I have put off seeing my doctor long enough.
So, Thursday I have an appt to go in and will ask her to send me for that dreaded MRI!!!
Why did this have to happen again?
I know they will tell me its a torn meniscus and want to do surgery just like on the other leg.
I am scheduled for my band on August 30 and I am not letting anything get in the way of this as I have put it off once to deal with my dog.
He is doing better, goes tomorrow to have his stitches taken out and get his anal gland checked, I think the infection is clearing up.
I sure hope so.
It has poured rain pretty much all day here today. When it finally did let up, I took the chance to run an errand or two and got caught out in it.
Hot and humid and my hair is paying the price.
It is soooooo dry. and frizzy.
I stopped weeks ago even trying to use the flat iron on it.
So, I am tired and think I will turn in earlier than usual tonight.
Right after I fold the load of laundry that is in the dryer, dry the load waiting in the washer....take out the trash, and set my coffee pot for the am.
SHEWWWW IT WORE ME OUT JUST WRITING THAT.

sad news about amy winehouse passing away, such a wasted talent, and she was, a true, real talent, not a fake pop princess, she had the real soul and depth to her voice.....it isnt a shock to the world, but a loss all the same.
today was my honey's bday and i took him out to eat, after he came in from work.
it was an ok day.
my dog is doing some better, the bleeding comes and goes, but its clearing up. hopefully he will be better real soon.

OH THE HUMIDITY!!!
My poor hair. I have stopped even trying to straighten it. Now, I just push it back with a head band or let it stand on its own!!!
I had to run and do a few errands this morning and planned to get out and get going early, but when the clock went off, I rolled over and loved another hours worth of sleep.
All the same, I got my errands in, which included buying a 20 oz coffee at the local gas station.
I didnt have a coffee yesterday and I really missed it.
I got in my little backyard pool today, since it was so steamy out and I was pretty much bored out of my head.
Since my leg and foot have been hurting so bad, I thought I could get in a little leg/water aerobics...the pool isnt very deep, 30 inches, but, its a good little pool for soaking and getting in a little movement.
I was really enjoying it for about 20 minutes or so, when I felt the first few drops of rain.
I thought it would pass and I was wrong.
So, I had to come back inside, by the time I turned the pump off, and put my cover up on and got to the porch it was pretty good rain, and within minutes of coming inside it was a full on gully washer, complete with thunder and lightening.
My dog seems to be doing some better, not so much leakage or blood today.
He is a smart little feller, and his master isnt as smart as he....I bought him an ecollar, and I got a small since hes so small, but maybe I should have paid the extra 2 bucks for a medium, cause this one doesnt come out far enough from his mouth....while he cant reach way back there, he can maneuver it in such a way as to get a little licking.
I have had to put the muzzle on him and now I am even having to keep a diaper on him at night.
Even though he is in his crate at night.
Just to try to prevent some licking. Hopefully the antibiotics and cleaning medicine we are using on him, will get this problem healed real soon.
I had a footlong hotdog for supper.
Yea, I know.....I know!!!

What a long day. And a busy one, I dont think I have sat for more than an hour all day.
I have been up since 4am...took Sparky back to the vet, and was told the problem is, an infected anal gland. She said it was very enlarged and inflamed and had been this way for awhile, and I said, hmmmm, WHY DIDNT YOU ALL SEE IT WHEN U HAD HIM IN SURGERY LAST WEEK???
But, at any rate, they cleaned it out with a syringe. Sold me some kind of solution to clean it out with at home and gave him another 10 days worth of antibiotics.
Honey and I just tried to clean the gland out ourselves, I am afraid we didnt do the best job.
Yesterday the hole, (gland duct) was very large and you could see it plainly, but today it wasnt and it was bloody.
I know I am grossing everyone out....but such has been my life for several weeks now.
I love my little dog and I want him to get over this and be well.
But I will never have another dog again.
You get too attached just like a child.
And its too hard to see them suffer and know that he is 8 years old and his time wont last forever. And, I wont go thru it again.
As for me....last night when I got into bed, my leg was so tight I couldnt even bend it to crawl into bed, I had to sit down and throw my legs up onto the bed.
It isnt too bad this evening, but the drive home was painful and once I got home, sitting on the couch was worse. Right now it isnt too bad. I am hoping that it isnt another problem like I had last year.
I have washed about 5 loads of laundry, all the dogs blankets and bedding.
And I still have a load of clothes to wash as soon as it cools off a little more.
It poured rain here this morning. And around 11 it got humid.
I am not even going to pretend like I had a good day calorie wise.
I am light years away from my calorie range.
Tomorrow I wish I could just stay home and relax, but I have to go pay our vehicle taxes and get tags.
Then I will relax, or maybe when I die I will, thats probably when I will.

When does it end...? This blog is about a lot of CRAP, different kinds of crap....
It has only been just a little more than a year ago that I had to have knee surgery for a torn meniscus, in my right knee.
And today, As I was walking thru my yard, (going to move my car for the septic tank men to be able to get into the driveway more easily, when the come to work on removing the old and installing the new septic tank, which by the way, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP AGAIN TODAY).........I felt like I stepped wrong, There was no pain and I didnt think I had hurt myself, but I just felt like I stepped down in a funny angle and ever since, whenever I take a step, I feel a popping in and out, I thought it was in my back or hip, but as the evening went on, I realized it was in my left knee.
The area just above my knee is very very tight, that was exactly the way the other leg was last year, it just felt as though there was a tight band wrapped around my leg.
But last year, it occured around 4 pm and by 9 pm I couldnt take a step and was in so much pain I had to go to the ER.
Right now, I just feel the tightness and the popping. I am hoping I just pulled a muscle or something and that it goes away.
I already have surgery next month scheduled and I sure dont want to have to undergo two seperate surgeries and have to figure out which one I need to do and which can wait.
I have other issues to deal with right now anyway. If you have read my blog recently you know my little dog had to have surgery to repair a perineal hernia.
Well, 2 days ago I began to notice a little oozing light pinkish discharge, not so much bloody as just blood tinged...coming from what I thought was his anus.
But, today there is bright red, fresh blood coming out and Honey got up close and personal and really took a good look and he said it seems like there is a small gaping hole in the area under his anus, maybe from the hernia surgery or maybe from the neuter.
But either way, there is blood coming out and its all oozy and red and raw.
So, tomorrow, in my next to non air conditioned car, on what is supposed to be around 100 in the shade, back to the vet we go.
I am planning on being in the parking lot when they open the door at 8 am.
I called there on yesterday and told the girl this was happening, and she said, it was NORMAL.
I told her if it kept on I was bringing him back.
But I didnt really notice the bright red fresh blood until later in the afternoon.
So, here we go off to the Vet tomorrow and I am going to inform the Vet that I called and asked to speak to him but was blown off and put off and talked to like I was stupid by his office staff.
If he doesnt do something for my dog, I am going to refuse payment and leave and never go back there again and find a new Vet.
Which is a shame, cause I like this Vet, its his dumb blonde at the front desk who thinks she has a medical degree, cause she answers his phone.....
What else, oh yea, I have a mouse, not of the computer kind, but of the furry rodent hiding behind my kitchen stove kind.
I went outside today to take the cover off my little pool and was thinking I might feel better if I could just sit and soak and relax, and because we have a limited space to set it up, its in an area near a tree, so of course, it got leaves and twigs in it, and had to wait for honey to come in and clean it out.
And I guess that is about all the crappy crap I have to report on this crappy day.
