Got my walk in just in the nick of time this morning, because by the time I drove home, it was sprinkling the rain. The day turned dark and drizzly. Had to go do some grocery shopping and really messed up by not stopping for fresh produce, I did however get some grapes.
I have bananas, and apples, but not much else, so another trip to the local market is in order in the next few days.
So, now I am so so tired, dont know if it has just been the cooler rainy weather or what.
Going to do some major cleaning tomorrow night.
Time to really start purging the closets and spare rooms of unneeded junk.
I have sold my recumbant bike, which hadnt been getting too much use, and am hoping to instead find a good used weight bench with arm and chest press.
Or, a total gym, lol, which maybe or maybe not would be used much.
I do think the chest press would be used alot, I really want to start working harder on muscle toning.
I am going to set up a streak to work on my abdominals for 30 days and see if I see any changes.
This is my next focus, to begin to see not only pounds falling off again, but inches.
Its beyond time.
It was an overall pretty decent day.

    Strength training is so important at our age as we lose muscle mass. You should be able to get in a few reps on a consistent basis. Maybe consult a trainer for getting you started on a program you can do at home. Your body will love you for it!

    I love walking in the morning too. A personal trainer once told me that spot exercise don't work (which i really don't believe) but she said diet, cardio and weight training is the way to reduce.

    Squats, even if body weight squats, do more good than Abs exercises. emoticon

Feeling a little better today. Time to move on, from alot of drama and unneeded stress.
Hoping this works out for the best in the long run.
No walk today, oh how I wish I had found the time. But dentist appointment took up most of my day.
Enjoying the cooler days, hoping the rain holds off til I get in an early morning walk tomorrow.

it was so hot today. when you think fall is in the air, think again. i am never surprised at these spurts of heat.
i was a football mom for 7 years. practices in the blazing sun. another practice in the evening, still hot out.
hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!!
i try to remind myself of this when i say its too hot or humid to go walking.
those kids out there, practicing with those big helmets and shoulder pads and spandex and polyester, yikes!!!
so why is it so hard for me to work up my courage to face and beat the heat?
well anyway, i havent tracked much today, im going to be pretty busy for the next 4 days.
will do the best i can.

    Yeah, when it's really hot I stay indoors. I really don't like the heat. And the only way I can tolerate being in a sweat in the gym is by thinking of the shower afterwards.

    I sympathize with you. I hate being outdoors sweating...that is unless I already need a shower tehn I will work in the yard and get all sweaty.

a little disappointed in myself tonight, skipped my walk, breaking my streak!!
my excuse, it was just too dang hot.
well, acutally humid. the humidity is just so blah.
but i will make up for it tomorrow. 9 days was a pretty good run.
tomorrow is a super busy day and i have to get up around 6am, getting ready for a long weekend.
not fun plans at all.

    9 days is great - sometimes the body needs a break.

It's going to be in the 90s here today with humidity! A heat advisory in September?

the scars i talked about in the other blog.
well, maybe this is called oversharing, but im posting pics,
you can see under the shorter red line, which is where my bra cut into me tonight, a longer red line, and even more faded ones, those are the old ones.
my bra isnt too tight, and its a sports bra made for working out, i dont know if its the sweating causing rubbing, or what???
what???
tonight i went for my evening walk and forgot to put my bandaids on under my bra line first...needless to say, after a good sweaty hour of walking, i have what amounts to a cut.
took a good shower using dial antibacterial soap and applied neosporin.
i was thinking i need to buy some tape that is used for wrapping feet, etc, and apply all across the area under my bra line.
something???
something has to give!!!!
so anyway, other than that i had a good day.
stayed home and watched breaking bad all day on netflix and did some laundry, then went for that walk.
now watching the cowboys vs. giants, go cowboys!!! and hoping to turn in early tonight.

    Check to make sure you don't have a latex allergy. My mom developed one, and every place her underwear elastic touched developed welts. She needed to find latex free ones.

    I just bought a new sports bra that will rub and cut along the central neckline area. I didn't realize the wound was there the first time it happened-whoa, hot water and soap on open skin will get your attention. I am just avoiding wearing that particular one-and it is really cute-hot pink with a pink on pink pattern-dang! Best to you as your injuries heal!
