The other day my Wii Fit Plus activity bank turned GOLD. I'm so excited!

It really pays to keep at the Wii Fit Plus and all activity everyday. I'm making progress and feeling better, too!

100 Days And Counting!

Coming up on this 4th of July will be my 100th Day of Activity. Though I am on this journey one day at a time, it's a great milestone to me.

And my Baby Steps are paying off. I feel good that I have made fitness activity a part of my everyday life! Since I got sparked in March, I've been doing my best to get healthy. And I've managed to drop a few pounds along the way.

So in honor of Independence Day, I make a promise to myself to go for 100 more!

Holding Myself Accountable

This weekend I had hoped to spend most of my FREE time on heavy cleaning, yard work, and exercising at the pool. Well, as they say, the best laid plans...

We were only able to go to the pool one day over the weekend. So I did make sure to put in 60 fit minutes like I planned. But there is still lots more to do around the house before Tuesday when we start our 4th of July Celebration with out of town guests.

I did not forget about my Wii commitments, either. I have as of today gone 8 straight days with firing up the old Wii Fit. That's a personal record for me!! And I put in 10 to 90 minutes on those days. So proud that I'm not neglecting my fitness during this record-breaking heat wave.

Well, I did stay active this weekend.

There is much more to be done.

My Weekend Plans Revolve Around Fitness

Having already updated the calendar, I made appointments with myself to get moving all weekend. The biggest events on the agenda are heavy cleaning, yard work and go to the pool.

For some, the pool is a place to lounge around and catch up on your summer reading. For me, I keep moving! Just like the kids who can't get enough water, I'm there to beat my best activity level from the previous visit to the water: 15+ laps around the lazy river and 20+ min strength training, for a total of 50+ min of water exercise.

This weekend, I'm shooting for 60 min each time we go to the pool! So I'll lace up my water shoes and get moving!!


Oh, but there's still 60 min on the Wii Fit Plus for my challenge group. I do that first thing in the morning before the rest of the family is up and at 'em.

So, as you can see, I'll stay active this weekend. With being off from work all next week, I already have a plan to put in 90 min each day (except the 4th of July).


Making it public holds me accountable!
