I met my goals today!

Thursday, November 18, 2010

Today, for the first time since I joined Sparkpeople, I actually met all my nutrition goals! I didn't go over or under any of them! I usually go over on the fat and under on the protein, but today I ate just right! And...I got in 60 minutes of water aerobics today, that's 4 days this week! I have only lost a half a pound or so, but I feel great knowing I am eating right and getting in an hour of exercise each day this week! Thanks Sparkpeople!

Congratulations! You're doing all the right stuff. I have problems going under on my protein also. I'm eating more beans and that is helping. emoticon

One minute prayer for women-by Hope Lyda, page 182

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Even with all Your power, You still choose to dwell within the hearts of Your childen. You guide by the Spirit, and Your love and strength are amazingly accessible. Create Your place in my heart, Lord. I want to be filled by Your presence and be counted among Your people. Amen

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Well today went really well! I did 60 minutes of water aerobics and did drug testing on 25 people, and ALL were negative for drugs and alcohol! I believe that is the first time in a year and a half that every person's test, came back negative!

I went to dinner last night at Red Lobster for my grandson's 18th birthday! It was really fun and the food was great-ate too many calories and fat though-but since it was a special occasion, it's okay.

That's about all I did today except I came home and took a nap after work, that felt good:)

Back on track!

Monday, November 15, 2010

Today, I finally feel better after having the flu all week! While waiting for the coffee to perk, I did 10 jumping jacks, after walking in place for a little warm up, and 10 side ot side steps, then walked in place for a cool down. I know it's not much but I usually just stand there and wait for the coffee to brew doing nothing.
At 9 this morning I plan on going to the gym for 60 minutes of water aerobics. I haven't been able to go since last Wednesday because of work and being ill. So today I will be back on track!
Since I have been sick I have still done 10 minutes of cardio and a few exercises at work, but I eat so much when I work weekends at the shelter, and their food is really high in calories and fat. I entered one meal in the nutrition tracker and it was over 1,000 calories! So I have been eating only about half of what they serve, and I skip the dessert completely.
Have a blessed day everyone!

Oh WOW! 1000 cal for ONE meal is a LOT! Can you take your own?

I think it's GREAT that you did those exercises while the coffee was brewing. I always use the step that the pumps are on while I'm pumping gas. I put it on self pump and then I do step aerobics while the tank fills! EVERY little bit counts!

To the Glory of God!

Sunday, November 14, 2010

Yesterday, I wrote how I have changed my life in the past 3 years by going back to school. The most important part about all this is that I accepted Jesus as my Savior on August 18, 2008. I have been able to accomplish all these things because of His grace and mercy. Believe me, when I lived my life on my own terms, without Jesus, my life was a mess! Now, each day I try to turn my life and my will over to Jesus, and live my life doing His will. I know as long as live my life for His glory, nothing will be impossible!

I waited patiently on the Lord; and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me up out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell them, they would be too many to desire. Psalm 40:1-5; I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14; I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13; Thank You for sharing, it is a blessing to know the Lord. emoticon
