I figured I would give an update post. I had some good day and bad days through out the last few days. My kids are gone til who knows when, there nana took them to Virginia for one or two weeks and it is driving me crazy. I joined the biggest loser challenge and it is a challenge but I am up for it. It hold me accountable and gives me a lot of support which is what I need. I have been eating ok and pushing my body to its limit. I am really tired of going to the store and saying that is cute and walk by it cuz it is cute on the hanger but will not look cute on me. one day (not sure when) I am going to walk into the store and say this is cute and pick it up and go buy it...............and it will fit and look good...........that is the motivation.............I am ready..............so that is how things are going here...........on track and moving right along............only .4 weight loss in the last week but with the challenges with the biggest loser and my inner motivation that number will definitely be higher next week..............hope everyone has a great day...............

    Wendy, I know just how you feel about the clothes. That is one of my biggest motivators, too! I'm so tired of grabbing cute clothes off the rack and walking out of the fitting room disappointed and disgusted with myself. Let's do this together and reward ourselves with a shopping trip!! emoticon emoticon

    Glad to hear you are so motivated! Hopefully you can focus on yourself and really think about the positive changes you need to make/are making while your kids are away. I'm sure it's hard to be apart and you are missing them like crazy, but I think this is a real opportunity for you to reflect and plan.

    emoticon Keep making good choices each day and you will see progress! Have you consider buying one of those outfits to hang on your closet door to keep you motivated? I brought a swimsuit one size smaller than I usually wear. Several months later I was wearing it. It felt great! June emoticon

day 9

day nine of the squat challenge is 100 squats......who would think that you could be out of breath from squats and work up a true sweat..........well let me tell you..........you can and you will............but it is done.......tomorrow is 105 and the next is 110 and then I get a rest day......no exercise today...........it was crazy and my daughters graduation was today so I am gonna start full force on the exercise tomorrow........

I always said things get easier after a week. I still believe it is true but I am struggling with exercise. I ended up not eating dinner last nite. I got done with work came home and made my daughter dinner and then started cleaning and when I finally realized I didn't eat dinner it was 8 and I wasn't eating that late so I had a glass of crystal light and went to bed. My accomplishment last week were that I did lost 3.4 pounds in a week, I made it through a holiday with out totally blowing it and I did stick with some exercise and still doing the 30 day squat challenge. I do have an event tomorrow that is risky. My bosses bday party at work it tomorrow............a ton of food which I got to try to resist. I am hoping I can do it. I just got to keep in my mind that I lost 3.4 pounds and you want to keep going. My next goal is to get down to 210.............10 pounds at a time.......

    Once you get into a real routine with your exercise, it will be easier. For me, I do cardio right when I get home from work, so I got into the routine to change from my work clothes right into my workout clothes and get straight to it... no sitting on the couch... no checking my email... no lying on the bed. Now I do it without even thinking about it. Before I got into the routine, the idea of relaxing when I got home was so appealing and once my pajamas went on, there was no way a workout was happening. But now I actually feel really weird on my cardio rest days when I get home and don't have anything to do.

    There are lots of great articles in the Nutrition section that deal with eating at parties. Maybe you could read some and get some new strategies for your boss' party?

    How is 3 pounds 4 ounces "not great"?!?!? That's a huge amount to lose in one week. Most professionals will tell you that 2 pounds a week is the maximum safe amount, though you might lose a little more than that in the beginning due to water weight.

IT HAS BEEN A WEEK AND TODAY IS THE DAY THAT I AM GONNA STEP ON THE SCALE.........I GO IN AT 815 AND AM ANXIOUS TO SEE WHAT THE SCALE HAS TO SAY..........I NEED TO SEE A CHANGE TO GIVE ME THE MOMENTUM TO KEEP GOING..........I PUT IN MY FOOD CHOICES TODAY AND IT IS ON THE LOWER SIDE...............2 HARD BOILED EGGS FOR BREAKFAST WITH ONE SLICE OF TOAST............LUNCH IS THE TYPICAL PB&J SANDWICH AN APPLE SAUCE CUP AND 10 BLUEBERRIES AND TWO STRAWBERRIES..........AND DINNER IS A TURKEY BURGER NO BUN AND BROCCOLI............DRINK LOTS OF WATER AND ONE DIET MOUNTAIN DEW WHICH IS MY MORING COFFEE AND I AM UNDER CALORIES FOR THE DAY BUT WONT BE HUNGRY............TONITE IS A REST DAY ON THE SQUATS SO I WILL DO A HARDER CARDIO WORK OUT.................SO I WILL POST WHEN I GOT OFF WORK TODAY ON MY WEIGHT.............................
